Some of us liked to play Tier I. I've kept FT and MS-1 just for fun

Same here - there is something therapeutic about the gentle 'chug chug' noise of my Renault as it heads off to do mighty battles with its 86% crew, filter, camo & binocs. When you've spent the night grinding your Tier8+ tanks then you really appreciate the fun of Tier 1.

IMHO this tank has the biggest fun factor of all tier 1's. I equipped it with the 13.2 mm machine gun. You can penetrate tetrachs and BT2's with that...

This "tank" fitted with 13.2 hotchkiss is actually very effective in game if used properly, as long it faces opponents of the same tier (tier1)

It damges T1 armour like its butter and its high rate of fire makes you win most fights as long as you are the first firing.
But as soon as you face tier2s the hotchkiss gun is almost useless you need to use 25mm cannon to do anything and anyway you can only shoot once before returning to cover since this tank does not "tank" any tier2 damage and is paper thin.

I say that because the other day i managed, don't know how i did, to only be in tier1 games with no tiers 2 for like 10-15 games in a row. Never managed to reproduce that now there are always level2s so the 25mm is compulsory.

But as long as i was in tier1 only games with the 13.2 mg, this tank was pwning hard with 2 or 3 kills per round, i got 4 kills once, and around 70% victories. As soon as tiers 2 began to appear and i first stubbornly kept using the machine gun, those stats got the other way around

The 25mm gun is probably the best gun around for tier 1 - accurate, fast and effective vs tier 2 tanks. :Smile-playing:
I like playing with my FT-17 every once in a while - gives me both a nostalgic feeling of when I started playing this game in the Beta and sometimes a breath of fresh air when high tier battles bring you down  :P

The good side about this tank is that it's not OP and yet it's way better than the MS-1 (atlest for me)  :)

I managed to get Top Gun in my little minnow the other day - now that is an achievement I will wear with pride  (not sure who was more shocked - me or my victims!)

Well I've managed to get my crew to 100% now. With vent, camo net & binocs it is a little beast on the field. Or at least a nasty surprise to anyone who thinks I'm an easy kill.
