Hey!

I am the only one experiencing, when playing the Pz.Kpfw. 38 (tier IV light tank), Im alomst always up aginst tier VII och VIII opponents? Thus resulting in a very boring game indeed, since I cant damage them?

Usually i play alone tier IV against VI-VIII, except if theres another Pz.Kpfw. 38 in the game.

Is this a bug? Or is it supposed to be like this with the Pz.Kpfw. 38 for some reason?

This is a scout tank, it's supposed to spot targets and get expierence/credits from spotting targets, not damaging them. Tier IV scout tanks get enemies up to tier VIII.

Its classed as a scout which has a mm of +4 instead of the normal -2/2+

Oh ok.

Since it's quite slow, its a hard tank to use as a spotter. But ok, now I know its not a bug. Thanks!

Well, it's a tank which needs a full set to be able use it's potential. For example 100% crew with vents and other modules. This tank has quite good cammo value, try to use brushes/obstacles to avoid getting spotted when spotting them, also i find this tank quite nimble with it's full equip, if it's still too slow for you, you can try to use stock turret with a weaker cannon (weights less, accelerates better) but with that setup you will lose some wiew range, since stock turret has shorter wiew range.

And this right here is why it would be nice if scout tanks were marked as such in the game. Just add that vehicle's MM tier spread to the rest of the stats on the right hand side of the screen in the garage.

That MM should be changed anyway. After all there are many tech lines that aren't really leading to real scout tanks. Like A-20 and this Pz 38 n/A. You can proceed to tier 4 very quickly and then it's just really confusing. I remember back in the day sitting in a bush with my Pz 38 and wondering how f***ing thick armor can one of those IS-3's have. I fired and fired and fired but nothing happened :teethhappy:

Agreed. The 38 nA is the perfect example as it eventually leads to the heaviest of heavies, the Maus. Chance are people who decided they want to eventually end up with a superheavy tank aren't interested in playing scouts, and if they're new players they probably don't even realise scout tanks are a thing. Not to mention the fact there are higher tier scouts that are superior to these tier 4 machines in every single way (but end up in the same battle), and higher tier mediums that have them both beat on everything except camo. Nothing like hitting battle with your Pz 38 nA and realising there's also an AMX 12t and a WZ-131 on your team, or trying to get to a good initial spot with your AMX 12t only to be overtaken halfway there by two friendly Batchats.
