Hey guys,

Just a simple thread about whisky and which you'd recommend to the rest of us who drink or want to try whisky. But first, a Poll! I love polls, but I won't be making a poll about that :teethhappy:

I only really drink Whisky and Brandy when I have a cold and then it's because I add it to my coffee along with a spoonful of pure honey -awesome for sore throats.

People who say they don't like whiskey generally haven't tried enough, I like a nice peaty single malt like Lagavulin or Laphroaig but you just need to try them till you find one you like.

I'll have to try that, though it's a waste of good Whisky. It's all great for disinfecting wounds.

I call it 'Benzin'. Russians have a nice saying: pivo bez vodki, dengi na veter (Beer without vodka, money to wind). Also that happened more than once :D

Balvennie Doublewood 12 year old, Macallan 15 year old, Arran 12 year old, Redbreast 12 year old and Glenmorangie 10 year old all in my cupboard at the minute.

Macallan is just sublime fiery, spicy yet smooth, Balvennie is a close second sweet and smooth but all are very very good.

Serve neat, no ice or water, sip tiny amounts and roll around the tongue. Never have more than 2 whiskies a night because after the second you'll not appreciate the taste.

You might as well drink that Black Bush shite after that.
