I had to share this very amusing titbit that happened the other night while I was playing.

I was in my Hellcat that has 100% sixth sense on the commander and 50%+ on camo plus 2 other crew with 100% camo rating and 2 crew with camo rating at 50%+.  It is fitted with a camo net and binoculars.

I was playing Encounter on Erlenberg and rushed to the cap circle and parked up next to a building that shielded me from the hill on the left flank but did leave me open to the castle on the right, but there are a few bushes nearby too.

I spotted a couple of enemy heavies up at the castle and expected to come under fire, but sixth sense didn’t ping so I thought to be risky and take a pot shot at an ARL that was up there, but be prepared to bug out if I was spotted.  I got a hit and to my surprise sixth sense still didn’t go off.  So I popped a few more shots up to the castle, killing the ARL and doing decent damage to a KV1S.

I saw the ARL player moaning about invisible tanks ruining the game and chuckled.  I then think I was naughty in winding him up saying it made it easier to kill him…  He then accused me of being a hacker.  To which I then had to explain camo mechanics…

Made me laugh no end even if me typing in chat, made me lose focus and get shot in the arse by a couple of flanking Hellcats of the enemy team.

Well... take it as a compliment.

But to be honest: He got a point with "invisible tanks ruining the game". The impact of the spottingsystem and all the ninja'ing is way too high, especially when combined with a broken balance and powercreep.

But calling people "hacker" because of that still is a bit stupid.

I was the victim of something similar not too long ago. I was driving along, thinking that I was covered as I had cliffs to one side and clear open ground to the other, when I was suddenly one-shotted. It wasn't until a minute or so later, when the scouts arrived in that area, that I saw the tank destroyer sitting right out in the open field.

Kind of funny, in hindsight, but I wasn't too amused back then.

Got called a hacker when I was in my Matilda once (elited, all crew 4 skills).

I charged down a small hill on Siegfried, I think, firing a round into a soviet T34 every 1.77 seconds until he was pecked to death. Following the shouts of "HAXR! REPORT MATILDA CHEAT!" I was laughing so much I crashed into the dragons teeth and got wasted by a derping PzIV.

Proudest moment of my WoT "career"!
