I don't know much about these cups and don't have the skills or time to play but surely if it's tier 5 with no restrictions then it's down to who fields the most gold-filled Chaffee as that tank is a Tier 5 in name only.

I read this for almost every tournament and it's never the case.

If there's no mention of the game mode then assume it's normal. If there's a change, you'll be notified.

Well the gold-filled is optional and probably unnecessary with 137 silver pen.
My curiosity was down to the fact that the Chaffee is the only tank left in WOT that isn't balanced to it's own tier. It's probably about balanced as Tier 6.5, imo and as you know sees min battle tier 7. This makes it a one off and completely different to simply quoting the standard "X is OP" tank at each tier. AS we've seen with team battles there are plenty of tanks that can be effective at Tier 8.
However it would be highly entertaining to watch a squad of M24s buzzing around Himmelsdorf. Though I can't get involved I'd be fancinated to see the actuall team makeup that the more serious teams plan to use.

"In the Fun Cup, you will encounter various tiers, rule combinations, special restrictions and novel tournament ideas."
Wich restrictions?I can only see points restriction 15-25 points. That mean that i can come with 2 tier X and the rest tier I and II.Where is the tier restriction?Cant find it.

If u plan to play this Cup u need 4+ Chaffee in your team.
AT T5 CHAFFEE IS OP
Thats why it nevers ends up in T5 games, or T6 (even at T6 as top tier chaffee would be OP )
It has gun, speed, view range, gun depression and ofc HP pool of HT at T5
Either limit its nubers same way as ESL do with autoloaders to idk max 2 Chaffee in team or dont allow it at all.

As I said, I honestly doubt that we'll see full chaffee line ups.

So let's assume it's correct what you said. Both teams will take chaffees so it will come down to tactics and skills which is actually the point of the tournament

Has there been any info about who won the 3v3 tier 5 fun cup? I can't find any info on the official site and barely any replays on youtube. Would be interesting to see how those KV-1's and AT-2's fair against Chaffees.

Nope, at that point its just frustrating for ppl who dont want to grind chaffee. So many good tanks at t5 beaten by de facto T6 scout in a T5 CUP

I got with my team to 1/4 (won 2500 gold) lost easy 2:0 driving KV1/KV1/Type34 vs 3 chaffee.
If u find them online ask top4 teams which tank they used

Well I did my research and yes you're right.
I'd be tempted to take the Chaffee out of any of them but I'd say the KV-1 could work well with the 57mm, rather than the bigger guns. Furthermore you could consider a LeFH as it's the arty that was unaffectived but the nerf and has the old-style fast aimtime and rof to perma-track opposing heavies. Obviously an AT-2 could work too.

Trading speed for what? KV1 armor vs gold ammo is useless, 122mm (370/140) and 85mm on kv1 should be first choice if u plan using KV1 (KV220 would be better)

Well I have never played the KV-1 but looking at the stats and having faced them in game I'd be more hasslesed by a gun with .31 accuracy at 2400dpm (using stats with vents and BiA). The 122 would likely miss and then you could sit there and rip him um and drive off before he reloads.

Take for a spin in random KV1 with 122mm and shoot gold to see how precise it is (dont forget to take good crew with it ) you will change your mind.

I'm sure it's fun enough but I just play the US lines so my experience of them is from shooting them up with the T82 57mm
