Over the next few days I will collect pictures and post up the stories of my rescue gang. (could take some time, mainly for the tripawd)

Rescue pets are great. Timmy was a rescue.

So I've left this thread die for long enough, methinks. Time for a good ol' necro.

Rather than update on the situation with the cat that I look after myself, I thought I'd give you a story regarding a friend of mine; more so, about the cat that my friend owned.

Whiskey, as she was named, passed away; from what I can tell; yesterday (Monday 24th Feb.). I don't know what caused her passing, but I think she was euthanised yesterday for reasons I don't know right now. She'd been ill the week prior to this one and the last time my friend saw her was Saturday. My friend didn't get to see after that, and wasn't able to be with her when she slipped away. The next time my friend will "see her", will be when she goes with her family to release her ashes.

It would be nice if you could offer your condolences to my friend; she's not exactly having a great time after this and I expect it to be awhile before she can "return to normal". It may be nothing more than words on a forum but it means quite a bit.

So to sing a final note on the matter, I'm going to quote something my brother told me was said to him at his Animal College. It may not be entirely true, but I still think it matters.

"When an animal is chosen to be put to sleep, the owners are asked if they wish to stay with the animal, or if they wish to leave. You never leave, otherwise the animal will start to look for you."

I made a thread a while back of my pets. I think it was called "Some of my pets". Put loads of pics of my bunch on it.

Gorgeous dog by the way.

Here is my new puppy.

Spoiler

Her name is Taila and she is now 10 weeks old. The picture here is an old one I think she is five weeks old in that. Might post some new ones later.

Taila already gave me some trouble when she was just setting in at our place. I was thinking that I could go into a battle while she was playing by herself. Oh, I was so wrong (never do that again) >_>

My old dog Tessa died just before Christmas due to kidney failure. ;_; RIP I loved her so much:

Spoiler

They are both Finnish Lapphunds if anyone is wondering.

Must admit even people who like tarantulas don't like centipedes. I love them though.

Can see why you like it, a cool creature, just not for me I suppose.

Each to their own bud :)

I'd love to have a marine tank. I'd have a peacock mantis shrimp if I did. Phenomenal inverts.

Had a German Shepherd, but she passed away last summer 1 week before her 14th birthday. Not planning to get another dog soon, because I still miss her.

Been their. I lost my very first dog 6 years ago. He was 16. It gutted me. I bought myself a pup soon after though. A completely different breed so I'd never be tempted to compare them. I love my little man.

Hope you learn to remember her without the sadness soon.
