first of all thanks to locastan for some explanation and code.

 

This mod aim to inform your CW-TC-ESL team if you are spotted but only if they want that informations:

Infact you can configure the mod to be enabled in some types of battles and with some types of tanks. Also, in battle you can disable/enable it pressing F11

 

They are differents ,compared to the the other this offer:

• compatibility with the localstan's minimap.
• the position in the minimap as part of the message( so you don't need to use F7 to show your location)
• if you want, a ping in the minimap(disabled by default)
• less spam
• possibility to configure each words in the messageby the xml
• possibility to disable the mod for Random ,Team company etc
• possibility to disable the mod for some type of tanks as Meds,HT etc

 

 

 

Default configuration

• the message contains the words "i'm spotted at A8"
• don't ping the minimap
• use F7
• F11 to activate/disable the mod
• enabled for every tank types
• disabled in random battles except platoon

Note:How work tryPlatoonMes option.

If you have both tryPlatoonMes  and  AvoidRandomMes to True : if is possible the message will be sent to platoon channel,otherwise stop

If you have tryPlatoonMes setted as True  and  AvoidRandomMes to False: if is possible the message will be sent to platoon channel, otherwise to the team channel

If you have both tryPlatoonMes  and  AvoidRandomMes to False: the message will only be sent to team channel

If you have both tryPlatoonMes setted as False and  AvoidRandomMes to True: the mod simply doesn't work on random battle

 

 

 

Installation:

 

hard

1. Download all my mods from github: https://github.com/jstar88/wotmods/archive/master.zip
2. extract contents of recompyled/wot_folder to your wot_folder,  replace everything if needed.
3. inside wot_folder/res_mods/0.9.8.1/scripts/client/plugins  you can delete all plugins that you don't need(except Engine and IngameMessanger if you want use SpotMessanger) or simply go inside every plugin folder and disable it from the config.xml (set pluginEnable to false)

 

 

Easy

download the attachment and unzip in game root.

I have been so fed up with "I am Spotted", "Help" only to see it's from a heavy tank.  Well of course you're going to be spotted, you're a brawler ffs!

 

This Mod should be banned as it causes spam on an unprecedented scale and if two or more players on the same side have the mod it gets absolutely ridiculous.

 

Ban it, ban it and BAN IT, please. 

 

What is wrong with F7?  Anyone with half a brain cell will see you on the minimap and will work out for themselves that something is amiss.

I fixed that -1 and downloaded it. Thx for the help with it as i didn't know which file to edit and how to. Also I agree on that is was spammy but now it is less AND you can disable it in a heavy or so. I will use this only in randoms if scouting or camping a bush.

I don't know why there are kids so rude to put -1 in a free mod where i spent time for you. Do you believe that this behavior will stop people using it?,they will keep use the old version, a spamming of F7.

Of course next time i will not share new mods, mods that might be useful to you.

this mod is maden for CW-ESL players.. i don't expect you understand something, I am used to randoms players..

This I'm spotted mod is a pain in the a*s. I was in a game some days back with three guys in a platoon on my team. All of them had this mod and just flooded the chat with spam as they peak-a-booed. All heave's and as Bishop_Basher has pointed out a heavy is going to get spotted. So what good is this mod? All it does is spam the chat blinding out useful information.

 

Personally I would like to see this mod banned as it is just spam and I now report users for spamming when I see it used.

dude you are not reffering to this mod. They are differents.It's so complicated ? This mod can be switched off as well and dont use F7 command

I'm planning to to avoid the message in the chat of random battle too.

done, now by default, in random battle the spot-message will not be sent to all.

first, complaining about s0me0ne's spotchat in this topic is completely out of place. latest version is switched off by default, so the user has to activate it - the spam is not the mods fault, so you better start complaining about dumb users or all those modpacks who are handing out outdated/bad configured mods.

 

second, getting spotted as a TD or passive scout is a rather usefull info for your team or at least those arround you, combined with location/ping especially. you guys should rather complain about the reload that spam floods the servers thanks to the almost every mod pack's own standard version of the radial menu mod. combined with all the tomatoes and wannabees that install this kind of modifications to at least feel "pro", i can't wait until 8.11 to disable chat in randoms, something you could do too if you really don't know what to do with information provided by others.

 

third, and most importantly, your mod is great. works like a charm, those options were really needed - replaced the old mod directly and will be handed out with the 8.11 version of KUI.

 

suggestion: implement on/off switches for every tank type and an option to have the mod disabled by default.

thank you, i think that these others guys didn't read the first topic.. they just seen the title, entered and spammed some negative rep because they want read more siemapl in the chat .No problem :)

i like the way you are going with this mod, the more configurable options, the better... in 8.10, i was using version 0.3 version from S0me0ne - it had one nice option, that it worked in random battle only when 6 or less vehicles were alive in your team. that means no spam in first minute rush

 

when you allow an option to use it in random at all, you provide a "tool" for spamming. what if you hard-limit it to 6 vehicles or less - so when anyone allows in to work in random, it wont spam others in the beginning of battle

i like the idea, but in case of you are alone in base and all monkeys push in one side it could be usefull with more than 6 players
