Dear OP.

IMI TAR-21 Tavor is an assault rifle. It's short because it's a bullpup, but it uses 5,56 Nato.

According to my source it's an SMG. Also the X95 Micro Tavor is an SMG which is a standalone variant for special forces and also called the Tavor II, to I'll edit my post to reflect that.

Assault Rifle: If you've mixed battle rifles in, I'd choose the G3 for brute killing power. Its .30 cal bullets just tear through armor. Instead, either the FAMAS for doubling as a SAW or the good old M16. Maybe the F2000 for how compact it is. If we can choose larger BRs though, I'm picking the overkill as hell FG 42.

SMG: If you include machinepistols in there, I'd choose the MP7. It's in every way superior to the micro Uzi except in cost. Traditional SMGs? P90. It's compact and has low caliber high penetration rounds, and 50 of them at that. When I want a compact weapon, I still want to get rid of body armor. 9mm Parabellum is only for hostage situations imo, and for that I'd choose the MP5.

Sniper rifles: Without a doubt the DSR-1. It's compact, not that heavy, has a good scope and incredible accuracy. It's one of the most well-rounded sniper rifles I know. The Intervention may be better at extreme range and accuracy, but the DSR-1 also uses Lapua Magnum and not just .308 Winchster, thus knocking out the use for such a heavy and overengineered rifle. Seriously, the Intervention is a one trick pony, excelling only at stupid long range and being redundant closer than that. For semi auto snipers, I like the SVD. One of the finest snipers in Russia.

Shotgun: Remington 1740 for sentimental reasons. Luftwaffe Drilling also for sentimental reasons. Practical reasons though? No doubts about it, I'm taking a Saiga 12.

Pistol: I lean towards the model 29. Yes, I'm a fan of large caliber overkill 90% of the time.  Oh, one that isn't so big? Ok then, I'll take a USP.

LMG: Negev. So much dakka, all in one place. Or an MG4.
