Tankschmidt, regarding that extra XP bonus on the GF, can it be a relic from the days of scout MM? Hence all pre-balance premium light tanks got the one tier lower XP bonus? Premium Type 64 should have a larger boost compared to its same tier premium  tanks as well then by this logic. As WG does not nerf premium tanks.

That is a very good hint, thx! :great: Will try to validate this by checking wotreplays. Hopefully the bonus XP for prem/award vehicles is shown there correctly. So I can test all vehicles whether or not they get the bonus according to their tier.

...didnt check anything below tier V, but if the display on wotreplays is accurate, then the German GF is indeed the only tank that has deviant bonus XP.

I specifically checked the AMX GF, Type 64 and 62 as the other prem LTs, but they have bonus XP according to their tier.

German GF

Type 62 / AMX GF / Type 64

In slightly related news, can someone confirm that personal reserves do not work in team battles?

I had a discussion with someone who was a bit frustrated by WGs description of personal reserves when they were sold in the prem shop. They were giving the impression that they work in all battle types, but when he tried them out in Advance (?) and Skirmishes they did not work. So I assume they generally do not work in any kind of clan battle. But what about team battles?

AFAIK they do work in teambattles. I recall some people talking about how easy it is to farm credits in teambattles, as you get the full battles from the SH bonus + credit reserves.

I wanted to reply 'Personal reserves do work' but I googled & turns out Personal reserves got broken during a 2016 pach for Advance & skirmish matches (they're supposed to work, but the patch broke it, WG promised a fix, but so far nothing).

But from what I checked out, Personal reserves still work in randoms (obviously) & TeamBattles.

I think it is rather on purpose. If you combine the bonuses from SH + reserves you get a ton of credits in almost no time. It is quite possible this would be terrible for the overal economy.

Sounds like it makes sense. But why wouldn't WG just say so in that case? Being honest as a company sounds like a good move in this case.

Cause some people (like in this case) will expect them to fix it, and think the company is incompetent.

This might indirectly hit their income, cause people have lower expectations of things to come. A company known for effing simple stuff up is not reliable for consistent fun when looking for games to put money into.

Perhaps overthinking this though.
