Not the best game to ace it but at least it's done after 2 years

Had a rather meh run of games this week. Lucky the tooning earlier in the week with Pahuuden_Kolmio provided quite some fun moments. It also included a reminder of why I enjoy playing WoT.

Ghost Town, T8 match & we drive our T7 tanks, me in the Jpanther & Pahu in the IS-2M.

5 minutes in, this looks bad. We lost 6 tanks versus their 1 & enemy is pushing hard on all flanks

As the enemy rushed in to finish us off, our team made a last stand against them. As more & more tanks fell, hope grew, bolstering our team to give it their best & turn the tide!

We stand! We did it! We lost 1 tank versus their 8 :playing: Now it is time to bring the fight to the enemy :izmena:

Lovely game really. Enjoying those games where the odds are against us & we can either turn the tide or make one last final stand before succumbing to the red force.

PS: also had a silly won TX game with the KV-4 on Sandriver, where my trusty blind KV-4 led the spotting charts. The secret? Go to valley by your lonely self, expose yourself briefly to make the enemy think *That's a juicy XP pinata! A lonely KV-4!* & & fall back asap as the enemy comes charging for you & get promptly blown to bits by your support :harp:

Due to lockdown, Missing out on my normal work trip abroad every two or three months and no Georgian restaurants in Belgium - or not in any of the centres of the larger cities - I have made spinach and flat bean pkhali for the first time myself. And despite going of pure taste for the herbs and probably missing out on some - and not having access to walnut oil, but simply using mortal and pestle to ground some myself - they have turned out absolutely great.

If you have not tried them, you should at some point. Georgian kitchen is my favorite, and pkhali might be just an appetizer but when they are good, the taste is so full and gratifying.

The Georgians did save the island my mother is from from the Nazis.

Or tried to, at least...

And this weeks corona kitchen project is stew based on Babylonean cuneiform tablets:

The taste is unlike anything I have ever tried. It's basically water, onions, shallots, lamb shank, watercress, arugula, cilantro, milk and crumpled barley cakes. With as herbs raw crushed leek, carrot and garlic, and some pomegranate.

Have you got a link to the recipe and even though I’m not sure I’d like it I might give it a try.

Didn't use a single one, just google Mesopotamian recipes and you'll get interpretations of the clay tablets and the rather vague instructions on there. Used the one for lamb stew but took small elements from the others as well.

Had an odd but mostly fun filled WoT week. Teams are weird tho, not sure what is happening. My KV-4 has been collecting assistance damage like it's a light tank on the prowl. Just slower & with more armor.

Did manage to accomplish an old funny goal of mine, namely Steel Wall my top 10 most played tanks.

Stug III G was the last one who didn't got a Steel Wall (due to obvious reasons) but then opportunity presented itself & I went tanking swedish TD style. (just noticed it happened longer then a week ago, whelp)

Got tracked at an ideal location. Just got to endure the shots till the tracks are fixed.

Played some games in toon with Eric & 6i6. They had one rocking prohorovka game, where they carried the entire team with their arty & LT (Eric rocked his arty, 6i6 rocked his french autoloader light). Not to mention, Eric also rocked the Maus in the Grand Battle Nebelburg map, with over 7K blocked :great:

As for me, I managed to get patrol duty in my Object 257 with them. I was holding the HT flank on Westfield as sole HT, but had TD & arty support.

It's raining fire & death. Gotta avoid the love from above.

Had fun games with the KV-4 as well, with oddities. The T9 triple arty karelia assault game was an odd one, as the arties often relocated & changed positions based on how teams were doing on their respective fronts. Had a GW Tiger arty following me around to shoot whatever threatened me. Enemy arty did something similar, as I found one of them on my flank, fairly close to the front.

Also the steamroll cap game on highway.

E75 leads the charge, crushing all opposition. My KV-4 keeps his flanks clear

Played plenty of Maus games as well this week, as KV-4 was hardly ever toptier & I do enjoy using my armor to the fullest.

Excellent spotting & play from the team allows me to ride down Malinovka hill into the forest to draw enemy fire with low risk. Thanks Tankschmidt & Somegrass for this fun toon session!

Also the airfield match was fun. Originally I was meh about it as I had a rather bad spawn to reach rocks, so went for the Airfield beach. Turns out the red team had also planned for beach fun times :playing:

Tankschmidt & Somegrass offered some wrecking good support as my Maus stands its ground.

When playing solo, I did struck one hell of a session in the Maus. Had to play 15 random games to get my first win & that was in a game that looked like a loss early on.

It's a TX mines match, enemy has a firm hold on the hill with several tanks & we are 8 tanks down versus their 3. Time to retake that hill

Don't worry folks, it's just me in my Maus.
Glory to the Maus!
