Hey guys

Hope you dont mind me asking but what did you eat for you tea??..I ask as i like to cook and im interested in new cooking ideas and any input would be interesting whatever country you are from??..

I tend to like Italian food and pasta dishes but today i had 'Bami Goreng'..Which is a noodle dish flavoured with pork and leek from indodonesia,,,

Dont get me wrong im happy with 'beans on toast'..A favorite quick English dish or something simple..

But what did you have??,,,,

I went for a half rack of ribs off the barbeque. Really nice and tasty with Corn and fries. Not so much fun to cook when it is cold out.

Make sure to boil the ribs in a pot for a bit beforehand so that they are cooked through and nice and tender.

Duck stuffed with apples (I bought it ready to bake in Makro) with french fries and orange juice.

But if you ask me what I like to cook most I`ll answer - Hungarian potato cake with spicy and very hot stew. And shot of frozen vodka for good apetite with it.

I don`t know if I translated it correct so I`ll post picture.

Yup, my favorite to cook.

My wife's making an authentic Cornish Pasty tomorrow as its St Piran's day.

So much better than anything you'll ever buy in the shops. Absolutely no comparison.

Did you know cornish pasties where origianally from cornwall in the UK...They where made as a meal and wrapped in the pastry to make sure the food didnt fall out when the meal was thrown to the fisherman in the boats??

I love pasties...If you go to cornwall you can actually get a 'pudding' pastie with toffee and banana in it lol

My secret is sauce: meat can`t be too good, it needs some fat so sauce will get some charcter, also I like to burn meat a bit in the beginning so later sauce will get nice dark colour and some bitter taste... Best thing is when you are cooking it - smell will lure everyone in 300 meters radious to your kitchen and they will wait jumping up unill you finish. Cake needs to be crispy.

Damn you! I know what I`ll be doing tomorrow!

:teethhappy: my that sounds great....I love to burn the meat slightly as it adds to the over all flavour...And if you do it with onions they 'caremelize' and go sweet....Mouths watering right now:sad:

??? Very American way of eating pancakes........now do 50 push-ups to counter balance its effects!

My favourite quick snack involves a sandwich maker(Breville kind of thing).

Place one slice of bread in machine, just fill with frozen sweet corn, sprinkle with ground cumin. place Easi-single type cheese on top and place other bread slice on top, close machine and cook for 7 minutes.

Sprinkle with salt and butter to taste and .............ooooooohhhh!!!

Pancakes, as previously stated. Sadly, unlike others, I'm not so fond of chocolate and whatnot and quickly became sick of eating them after the first one. Otherwise I had a bacon sandwich. :glasses:

I have no idea what it is, but hungarian dishes are pretty damn good. :)

To answer the original question: my daily dose of prozium.
