Hello fellow tankers, today at night (about 2:00 am CET) I downloaded and registered my account in Tank Inspector, I turned it on had some fun checking armours etc and i went sleep.

When I woke up i received email from gmail about someone trying to log in into my account (Never anybody tried it earlier just after TI account registering) and guess what? When I wanted to download Tank Inspector i remember that I first  clicked beta link (didnt notice that its not for all) and page http://tankinspector.sinaapp.com/ redirected me to some CHINESE website so I go back and downloaded my native language version which is Polish and a person who tried to log in into my account was from CHINA... It is a coincidence? I'm not sure about it, so I want to share with you my feeling about this app.

I don't trust it anymore.

At the end I would like to say, If you want to use Tank Inspector and you wasn't using it earlier, make account on email that you are not using and use really different password than on your emails and other accounts.

See you on the battlefield! :izmena:

You better contact support, double quicktime.

Before they (they = possible hackers) can do any damage (like selling your tanks/consumables etc.)

Create lots of spam email accounts which you use for Game/site accounts.
Same goes for games, having a email account connected to several games will lead to attempts
and
fake support. Like from; diablo 3. WoW, Guild wars etc.

Tank inspector deliberetely says: "Don't use your WoT e-mail." when registring your email.

This is generally a good idea. I have an alias for each and every account on the internet.

Helps to keep things apart and at least you know when some company has sold your data to some spam provider (or got hacked/trojan).

Nah, the spam is constant and unrelenting every month, I get at least 10 mails each month on the regular email I use that isn't related to any actual product and on the "formal" email that is tied to anet, blizzard, etc, but I did notice that lately people are trying to steal GW 2 accounts more, God knows for what reasons since there barely are any players left in that game.

Also recommend linking your WoT account to your mobile so any password changes etc send out a text message with code to confirm it's really you.

You know that there is around 1,3 billion people in China?

Someone from China wanted to break into your email account and they are your prime suspect only because you visited their Chinese site?

They have been doing amazing work for a long time and no one ever had any problems with them.

Oh and next time read FAQ on their site:

"DO NOT use your WoT account as your Tank Inspector account. Use another password, preferably another email address. Although it’s technically safe if you use your WoT account, we do not want Tank Inspector to bring any potential security risk to you."

I've never mentioned that I used my WoT email and password, just told you that when i registered account after 2 hours someone tried to steal my email.
