I need to get better at wot, and one further step could be to play some really awful tanks and play til I'm be able to hold my own with them (mastery badge or some other set goal). Name your worst tanks up to tier 6(above that they just take too long to research), and I'll give some of them a go. Preferably no arty.

No stock configurations as that's a bit too big of an artificial limit.

I will play the tanks at least 100 matches and the goal is a 55% win rate.

First 3 tanks up are M3Lee, A-20 and D.W

I didn't have much luck at all with the t-34 until I got it out of stock. It's on the list :)

Still shouldn't be too bad since the armor bounces a lot.

Yeah, I think the Panzer IV with the 7,5cm KwK 37 L/24 is worse.

Seems a bit redundant to purposely use inferior equipment on inferior tanks, so please no more stock suggestions.

dw2 and a-20 with stock gun added to the list.

Stock tanks are cheating, surely. Not sure about scouts either, but the A-20 is the worst if you want to go that way.

Are you using gold ammo? If not, the DW2 and B1 are rather... challenging. Hell, they're pretty bad even with gold. The Somua S-40 is notable for being vastly worse than all the other tier 4 TDs. The Lee is an old favourite but kinda playable if you work to its strengths.

I'll throw in the Medium III. Use whatever gun you like, it's awful regardless.

set goal: win 55% or more battles over a 200 games set. due to their general poor performance, ace tanker badges are relatively easy. however, consistent winning should be difficult in these vehicles.

tank: A-20 USSR T4 LT

tank: aufklarungspanther german T7 LT

tank: durbruchswagen 2 german T4 HT

now just for your enjoyment, get a ace tanker in the:

tank: FV304 UK T6 SPG (believe me, this is a SPG you will likely love at the end. but deu to its high popularity..getting a ace..can take a while)

edit broke the "no SPG" and "no higher then tier 6" rules, the SPG is optional..the LT can be substituted with the same rules using its predecessor. you can use whatever load-out you feel fit...no limit to gold, but I would appreciate it if you would tell us the relative quantity of gold ammo fired. (relative to standard ammo that is)

Grinding a bad tank until you are good in it is a sure-fire way to some kind of breakdown.

Also, you are only teaching yourself to be good in that tank (with 'bad tanks' this will almost certainly be slow tanks with bad guns). If a player spends his entire WoT career grinding the Churchill GC and then jumps into a Hellcat, he's likely to just have his arse handed to him.

Try the UK Vickers medium tanks. You'll get used to being ripped apart by HE and autocannons pretty quickly.

yes as such, he should do both. one end is trying to score consistently high on the hard tanks everyone skips, the other side is to be one of the relatively high performers on a tank everyone loves.

getting a ace in a hellcat can be quite challenging..since half the good players own one the competition to get a ace tanker is fierce..but it is a apparently awesome tank..so its likely a whole lot of fun to try that.

while getting ace is a *peep*tank like the DB..is likely done a couple of matches in...

200 matches is just too many, I'd never be done with all of them while still making some progress with my regular tanks. I will try for a 55% win rate but in some tanks that just won't be possible for me.
