I heard that a WG tank "inspector" (the guys who measure the tank's size etc) was busy on measuring a chieftain's armour. so maybe we'll get a chieftain prototype to replace the imaginary FV215?

That still stands. However I'm pretty sure I've found where the idea and specifications came from, and that might make a nice tier 10. I just need to get to Kew or find someone willing to stump up the £700 quid to get a copy.

I always thought of the Cheiftan as being more a medium tank than a heavy tank. It only weighs 4t heavier than a Centurion, and to my knowledge the Chieftan has the same thickness of frontal armour as a Centurion MK2, and actually has less side armour. Pair that with the fact the current Brit T10 medium is one of the most historically inaccurate tank in the game, and I think it's more likely it will replace the current T10 medium than heavy (if it is to be introduced, that is).

Chieftain comes closest to a medium tank. It was an MBT trying to combine relative speed and fire-power with survivability.

Agree it should be the T10 Med. Adding the FV is just a bollox idea by Russians who don't like giving the British their iconic vehicles for some odd reason.

T62A allowed but not Chieftans? 

No Firefly even as a premium tank?

No Charioteer (FV4101 Cromwell Heavy AT Gun)?

Real vehicles with real stats? No lets make stuff up...
