Found this video on youtube today, quite interesting when the swedish military tested the armor of the S-tank. Enjoy and see you guys on the battlefield

So what do you think, will we get a tank that can't be set on fire and almost impossible to knock out the crew on AND with a 25 shots auto loader :)

And it can also jump a meter up, would be handy when you see someone aim at you :)

Best quote ever : "Here a trial is done with a 155mm explosive charge against a floating tank"

Very interesting and informative video, a shame there isn't an english version for those who can't understand swedish.

That might actully happen when all tanks have the HD models including the new adaptive track/wheel system and there will be more tanks that actually had that (like the STB1 for example)

I understand from another documentary that the S-tank was designed to "dig in" and defend corridors in the forests of Sweden against Soviet invasion. I think it has a kind of bulldozer attachment for making a nest. It might not be effective in WoT without the ability to make holes in the ground.  Still, I'd like to have a go!

Also dont forget that without that suspension the gun has 0 gun depression and elevevation and also traverse to sides. Still I totaly could see it in WoT imo. Great accuracy with a rather low alpha of round 350-400, but with Tortoise like RoF and decent 40 kmh speed atleast. Maps like Steppes, Abbey, Mines and many more would be a pain in the [edited]tho :/

Tortoise? Think WTE-100 Rof.

It is not a TD, it is a MBT and in this game i would guess it would be placed as a Heavy

It doesn't have a turret ... it is a TD.

No those are called turreted TD's

Just like every square is a rectangle but not every rectangle is a square..... all tanks have a turret, but not everything that has a turret is a tank.

It's a main battle tank not a tank destroyer.

Except, ofcourse, that the Stridsvagn 103 is designed for and used in the MBT role by the swedish army.

Wiki quote: "The Stridsvagn 103 (Strv 103), [Note 1] also known as the S-Tank,[Note 2] was a Swedish post-war main battle tank.[2] It was known for its unconventional turretless design, with a fixed gun traversed by engaging the tracks and elevated by adjusting the hull suspension"

This doesn't mean that it won't be in a td line in WoT.
