We hosted a community event in Utrecht, the Netherlands, for Xbox 360 Edition players. Come and check out our report and pictures!

Was an awesome event I always enjoy visiting the Netherlands, that's 3 events I've done there now!  I actually lost my voice on Sunday due to all the talking on Saturday and then later shouting in the nightclub. Apologies to Amayii regarding my answers to his questions, with the loud music we appear to have got some things mixed up. In future I'll make sure to speak to players somewhere quieter!

I only played shooters on console once (i do not own one) and i must say it was the most awkward gaming experience ever. Mouse has huge advantage. How is it when it comes to WoT (to anyone who played X360 edition)? Just curious.

Keyboard & mouse feels much better for me as well. The xbox 360 I bought a few years ago is currently gaining dust :P

However, I attended the Utrecht event as well and playing WoT on the xbox was actually a good experience.

Why in the Netherlands? I would expect that to be a relatively small target audience for WG?

It depends if you're used to the Controller. Personally i found the Solutions WG took to make the way of Controlling good enough to say it wouldn't be a problem if you're used to the Controllers. So I have to say it is even on Both.

would have loved to meet you, but i have never played on a xbox in my life and sadly i cant drive :c

Damn why is it always in the netherlands ?

1 day in the netherlands and the other day in belgium :D

Not really. It's also fairly easy to reach.

Dutch community is a growing community, and even though not the most numerous one, still worth attention. Netherlands location also makes it very approachable for both us and others in the vicinity.

When it comes to the top 10 visits on the portal/forums. The Netherlands usually comes in that top 10 or is just outside it.   There is actually a surprizing very high amount of players logging in and playing from the Netherlands which is why we recently added a Dutch subsection to our forums.   We're always tracking the visits to our portal & forums carefully along with the login information on our forums to see where people are playing and visiting from.

I also was there, and I only played it on the PC mainly, you really get the touch for it quickly. It was amazing on how fast I was able to perform quite well in a game while I only played on the xbox for around 10 games.

The step on playing on the xbox is not that high, you will get used to it really quickly!

 

It was a nice event, glad to have been there and met other tankist! Wish I could've talked with ectar or iScending would've made it even better.

 

More of these events are fun! next time let's also show them what a PC can do!:D

It was quite awesome :D And I love the group picture with you guys, Vanity and Wim and Sander and others :)

 

As for playing on the xbox 360 - I liked it as the controls were not too hard to get used to. The most annoying thing though is that the minimap only shows a small portion of the map instead of a full overview, that really affected my gameplay. Still, that's something that could be changed easily and I think it'll make a nice addition to anyone's xbox 360 collection. I don't have one though and even a nice game won't convince me to buy one :p
