Great article and nice looking 1/6 scale tanks, but the price is way out of my budget.  1/16 scale i way more affordable.

what would you like to see them build?  I would like to see a S-51 unicorn arty in 1/6 scale :)

Quality not quantity. I'm glad they share the germans' point of view.

I really love these kinds of businesses, turning your hobby in your job, if I ever get the money, I would certainly buy a Comet or Jagdtiger. As to what I would recommend: Bat-Chat 25t or an IS3!

TOG II! They have too make a TOG II, it's like the signature tank of WOT. Either that or a Leichttraktor, One of the first tanks that any one who plays the Game ever drives.

Good article - small manufacturing, niche markets - what we do well in the country

Quality always wins out in that market.

Sounds like you had a fantastic day!

Very cool but too expensive for me, besides a 1/6 scale model is way too large for me. I wouldn't know where to put it. Maybe if they would make a 1/16 scale or something it would be cheaper and i can place it in my cabinet.

"The average weight of the tanks is around 170kg and they are powerful enough to pull a 7.5 ton truck."

170 kg tank pulls a 7.5 ton truck? I MUST have one of these monsters!!

These models are awesome and I was expecting the price to be about 1/6th of a real tank too. I think the prices are way too cheap! Is it that two model types are produced each year with 30-50 of each model? Even so, that's only a turnover of about £50k. He should be charging a lot more as after time and materials there can't be a great profit for something so impressive.

.... which reminds me that I need to get my ticket for tonight's lottery!

So much quality he forgot to put in a smaller engine of the real thing that sat in those tanks. When I buy models I expect it to have an engine in there that runs on petrol or something and preferably modelled after the real thing.

I mean electrical engine with speakers sounds so terrible bad no matter how high quality sound you have those speakers are tiny and produce crapaudio.

Yes - how could he go to such lengths and then 'forget' to put in the correct engine? A 1/6th size engine (if possible) would have cylinders with a capacity 1/216th of the real thing and at best would buzz annoyingly and probably have insufficient power output to move the thing. Some things are just not scalable - how could a 1/6th size vehicle sound the same as the real thing?

I'd love to buy a T55 but I think they stick to ww2 tanks as a rule.
