Yes and if you shot a tank of the Death Korps of Krieg in the LFP, it'd burst into flames.

Your idea is great (+1)  B.U.T I wouldn't like WG to get the license from GW, here are a two reasons:

  1.  RNG. That thing sucks and it would ruin the 40.000 universe experience, imagine shotting with an :izmena: Imperial Guard :justwait: Hell Cannon (that can bring down the heaviest fortification with one shot or collapse a planet's core) on a Space Marine Land Speeder and get a bounced hit :unsure::amazed::angry::sceptic::trollface:
  2. The servers would be hosted on WG scrap heap, sooo intense lag.

And besides there is already a company that works on that  http://www.eternalcrusade.com/

Just show the actual D6 rolls on screen, problem solved.

You do know that Warhammer 40K primarily is a tabletop game* by Games Workshop where results are decided on the roll of a dice, right? Tell me how a bad dice roll is not RNG, where something like an ork on a crudely fashioned buggy, fires a rocket thats more focused on pretty pyrotechnics than actual hitting power,  still manages to take out the heaviest armored tank based on a few lucky dice rolls.  Now thats what Warhammer is about, for almost 35 years already.

Either way, the last company making warhammer video games did so well it went bankrupt, so dont get your hopes up.

Imagine the warlock titan's primary weapon (see wk40:space marine for the shot) melting away the entire enemy base...

You're complaining about RNG when trying to implement units from a game that's based around actual dice rolls?

Less than 35 years, perhaps only 30, I remember :-) Original Warhammer came out early 1980's (around 82), and it was consumer driven rather than any bright idea on the part of GW. People were making up there own wargame rules using the system out of the Fighting Fantasy books to recreate Tolkien battles talked about & illustrated in David Day's Tolkien Bestiary and were buying tons of Citadel miniatures for this. GW had just bought Citadel, saw the figure sales shooting up and jumped on the bandwagon with their own rule set. Warhammer 40k was planned before Warhammer was released as a GW version of the role-playing game Traveller, called Rogue Trader, but then when Warhammer became a storming success they altered it to be tabletop wargame and released around 1984 (I checked, actually it was 1987).

GW are a poor company who have no ideas of their own and just copy, carpet bag, or at best buy up other peoples ideas and mass market them for profit, and they have got worse over the decades. The gaming industry used to be extremely diverse and really awesome in the late 70's early 80's but GW murdered it.
