Always jealous seeing The_Challenger climbing all over the tanks but then I have been all over a Centurion and Comet last year :)

Awesome article as always.

Great video :)

Just one tiny thing to add: the advantage (and raison d'etre) of the Porsche suspension was not only the maintenance, but also cost and ease of production:

Block Quote

The goal of reducing the price and man-hours was reached: the classic Henschel suspension costed 866.000,- RM and it took 360 man-hours to prepare the hull for it. The Porsche system costed 462.000,- RM, it took only 140 man-hours to complete and it was lighter too.

Great stuff, but take down those hands, nothing personally Richard, just an appearance detail.

And keep these videos coming, the americans are great and we could love some more of the europeans and british tank reviews, although Chieftain has done some of them aswell.

Really nice video, Challenger :great:

Would i have loved to hear more about one particular engagement with 1 Jagdtiger and several allied tanks (Shermans i think). I believe the commander of the Jagdtiger ordered the tank to be turned around instead of being put in reverse and keep the armor towards the enemy. The allied tanks could then easily shoot the side and/or rear.

I believe Carius was quoted of saying that the tank itself wasn't so bad apart from the obvious mechanical flaws (like the engine) but it was rather the poorly trained crew that meant that the Jagdtiger wasn't an enormous success.

But hey, I'm not the expert and i could easily be wrong about everything :blinky:
