Well I finally managed it, 1000 battles fought, I must admit it took me the first 500 or so to realise that always going for the kill might not be the best idea, now I go out to do as much damage to the enemy as I can, if I can inflict more DP than I have HP then even if I get taken out I feel I have done my bit, and to be honest I still seem to get enough kills to keep me happy. I am still enjoying the game now as much as I did when I first started playing, even at weekends when all the suicide specialists and team killers come out of the closet. Here's hoping the next 1000 or more battles are just as enjoyable. Happy tanking all.

With that you already far ahead of most players with 10 times the games you have.

Cheers! It took me more than 2k battles on closed beta and then some 2k more on live to start getting good, you're way ahead most!

Congrats mate, you seem to have the right ideas! Keep it up!

I was still a total tomato up to 5k battles, so you're doing much better than I ever have. :great:

hehe nice :) The good old days of being totally new to the game! I remember when I reached my first 1k battles too. Felt really good! :P I was of course (and still is some would say) a total noob. I've stopped counting battles. My next significant milestone is when I have all non-arty tier 10 vehicles. 4 to go! 2 of the grinds are at tier 8 the other two are at tier 9.

I'm nearing in on 4k battles played now and the game is just becoming more and more fun. There is lots to learn still. The game is what you make of it, there will always be room for more.

Well done mate. Like you, I now know damage is everything. I would rather wear down that heavy so someone else can finish them than go for the easy kill that isn't a threat. Don't expect thanks. Just look at the team score at the end. If you are up there at the top, you've done your bit.

And remember. Always leave one of the Red Team alive at the end, so they may go home and tell others of what you did......

GL! I will look out for you on the field Sir............

Good stuff OP ... I really can't remember my first one thousand battles to be honest.

The good thing about this game is it's pretty accessible to a wide range of skills. If you want to just been 'average' then it's relatively easy to learn how to do that but there's also a lot of depth to the game that you can use.

Heh, I remember arguing with people on the forum that I understood the game way back when I had... 800 battles.

I was such a noob back then, thankfully I wised up and realised this. :deer:

Congrats OP, keep up the good work! :great:

Nice to hear, That your on the forums already makes you 1000 times better than the average joe ! And keep making some goals like the one you had, and you will improve.  you should also feel free to ask on the forum for things you don't understand   ( game Mechanics etc..) I would recommend you also to look at the worldoftanks reddit page, They are always happy to help ;)

Keep up the good work !
