Well, I do like the fact that I can solo-ubercommando and results dont depend on team. WoT skills help too.

ja ja ja your the king of facts I applaud you. Now show us the tank drifting in 1 foot tall dry grass..

You realise the weight values are placeholders until they work out the ramming mechanics? It's a buggy release but it has a solid foundation to work from. I'm not anti-WoT or pro-GF but GF is fresh and fun to play. Most nay-sayers are going out in a Panzer II getting owned once or twice then judging the game without bothering to learn how to stay in one piece.

Anyone bought one of the tier 4 premium tds? Either the Jadpanther or SU122P? Thinking about getting the SU.

Do NOT buy any of those.

1)They are vastly overpriced

2)There are not enough Tier IV people in queue ATM so you might as well stay in II-III and enjoy them for a while.

3)They are not that different from their non-premium equivalents

If you want to spend 6000GE,then the most cost effective way is to get a talisman for your favorite TIer III tank (1400GE),then get one for your favorite Tier IV (1800GE).Put 2000GE for a month's premium and you're still left with 800GE.

With premium time and two talismaned (200%XP) tanks, you can power through to your first tier V in a matter of days, provided you are around the middle of the scoreboard and win about half of the time.

And NEVER convert any XP.Reward them for things that are decently priced and send them a message for things that are retardedly overpriced.

TL:DR

Talismans

Premium time

yes

6000GE premiums

XP conversion

buying crew xp

buying modules

hell no

Too late. Bought it yesterday. Absolutely love it. Played 1 simulation battle and unlocked 4 or 5 tanks. I got the ridiculously good Steam pack for £25. 10k Golden eagles,  2 month of prem and 2 tier 3 planes. Bargain.

Last 3 days or so I only play WTGF. So far I really enjoy it. I hope they optimize the graphics though. About the drifts...well tanks do drift IRL. Maybe not that much though.

It's much better then WOT where when you stop pressing the W button the tank stop from 50km/h in 1 second. Here in WT he drifts, he move, he(tank) goesforward for xx meter/jards, it shake, they are smoke everywere and dust around you when some miss you and hit the ground in front of you.

My first contact with this was. WTF , how can I hit someone here, i don't even see anybody

"Something is happen there"

"WTF...what now :P"

If you want to spend 6000GE make them 7600GE and get yourself 1 year premium account. Offer is until tomorrow.

You are toasted on the second pic :) Just hold further behind with the TD, and show only your upper hull.

This was the beginning of my WT gameplay... More a scouting then reall gameplay... What I miss are the big red tomatoes in the big maps. Don't know how to hit someone at 2000 meters when he is not marked :-D

and i dont know how much must be stupid to leave game after 10+k match?

i am leaving after 29k, leaving means for now-not permanent, have no obligations here in wot( left clans cos it becomes 2 much 4 me to play in pro clans untill 23hrs every day)

WTGF have mine attention now, and prem acc, with 1 prem tank( t-34E tier 2, and its really good, not some crap like here u might expect from low tier tanks, should have buy t-34/57 prem, have over 200mm pen with apcr)

Realism is really refreshing 4 me and i know that many ppl would not like that.

So, see u there tankers

I have been playing GF for the last few days and while I enjoy it, it isn't hooking me like WOT did.

I don't like the inconsistent damage, you can hit the same place with the same ammo and one shot people sometimes and at others it does hardly anything and gives the enemy enough time to shoot back at you (could be my fault).

I really hoped that the game would have enough potential to replace WOT for me (I am taking a break from it regardless) but I have to be honest and say I am already getting bored with it and annoyed at some of the bugs. I mean you have Light tank bots that can ram tanks like the Panther into a 360 spin or into enemy fire. Also the UI is atrocious and it appears to have been an afterthought. I'm also not a fan of all the game modes revolving around capping in arcade this is how most of the game are decided.

Having said all that the game is very nice looking and the detail on the tanks is fantastic. The guns sounds are epic and the effects of a tank blowing up are also incredible to. The game certainly does have its moments where it fully immerses you but they are fairly few and far between. One of the biggest things that ruins the whole experience is the repair time where you have to sit out waiting for your tank to become useful again and even after that, if your loader has died then you might as well just blow the tank up and start again.

So overall its not a disaster but it certainly has a hell of a lot of work that it needs doing to it and in my opinion it should have stayed in closed testing for another few months.

Edited the part about capping.

I accidentally noticed that WTGF open beta went live exactly the same day when it did go live. I had seen few videos in Youtube about it but I was not that impressed...until I decided to try the simulator battles. Man, even though WTGF is still very much in beta state and there are only few maps I really enjoy those simulator battles...the best part, from my point of view, is that apart from the minimap spotting tanks is based on one actually spotting them. You can actually use concealment etc. One would think that this would lead to very campy/static gameplay, but so far my experience is that it is vice versa...on the average there is less camping in WTGF than in WOT. I'm not sure if that is due to the map design, game mechanics or what. After having played approx. 5 days of WTGF in simulator mode I had a go in WOT and the contrast in the "spotting" mechanics is so great that I almost felt like cheated...but that's my experience only. In arcade mode WOT and WTGF are fairly similar, but I think WOT is more polished right now (if it wasn't for the funny spotting mechanics). If one only want point'n'click type of gameplay, then WOT is probably the choice until WTGF includes more maps, content and so on. In any case, if you haven't done so yet, I suggest that you have a few games in the simulator mode in WTGF...and don't worry about targeting, you will learn it very soon...after 20 or so games you already get the idea how aim/shoot/target etc.

Cheers

I started off desperately trying to figure out how to hit things but then realised T50 = fast light tank so after a few attempts it's getting to be a lot of fun hurtling round in all the different light tanks firing shrapnel shells into the view ports of heavies who in this game have absolutely no chance of catching a circling light!
