Haven't tried it myself, but based on the youtube footage I've seen it's not my cup of tea for a wide variety of reasons.

Warthunder is clearly a game for people [edited], so dont expect to find players here.

Translated: you are doing it wrong.

No no, that was good. I got to neg rep you twice.

OP gave his opinion about something and you act like a dushe and throw insults, just because you don't agree.

Gotta love these people.

Oh, and I have to try the other game just for in interest. Still enjoy WOT deeply, but chance is always freshening. Hope it's good, but based on what I've heard and seen, it prolly won't be a my cup of tea.

So I take it you won't be playing it then.

They are totally different games I have no interest in it and will not be trying it soon, might give it a go later on when they sort the bugs.

"someone does not like the game I like, therefore they must be stupid!"

Does this summarize your post accurately ?

OP I agree. I already ragequit in the tutorial when i found out that I had to fire a different shell but couldn't since i had to first bind all hotkeys myself.

Than i tried to drive left and made a 360 powerslide down a hill at 40 kph resulting in me repairing a track for 30 secs.  I think i'll stay with WoT for now

Give it some time to evolve, it's in beta for a reason.Have not had the time to try it myself but friends told me it's very different and demanding. Not going to downvote [Edited] yet, need to check it and then form an opinion.Just sayng that seeing trees cut down by an invisable Maus 100m away from me aint fun eather.

You got to remember, WT is more of a sim based tank game compared to our arcade tank game. I actually got WT, and im enjoying it as it reminds a bit of some other tank games I used to play (T-34 vs Tiger was my favourite). I will now be playing both, as I can drop in WOT for some quick tank action, and have WT for a bit more "realism".

Personally I don't see WT will "kill WOT", for the reasons OP put, as its not as fast paced compared to WOT and will not suit everyone.

You cant deny WT grafix and its dynamic damage model. Sideskirts falling of after being hit, gun sounds, atmosphere and the overall far far better grafix which runs much smooter on slow computers.

[edited] And I wont argue there with any of you. When I start WOT I see a game from the late 90s.

The gameplay is a different story if course. WT is much less arcade and more unforgiving. More of a simulator. Some players will like it, some will hate it.

I for one will give WT GF a chance and try it when it comes out. One thing WOT lacks is a nice GFX and more realism.

So you think IRL you could drift going down a slope without detracking? Stop being so silly, it's realistic.

i like the game itself but it has 4 main flaws:
-slow grind
-a lot of RNG dependancy ( i was surrounded by enemies and no allies on 1 SINGLE CAP IN GAME ) i was shooting the enemies, did a lot of hits but couldn't destroy any, the moment their shot penned me i was dead.
-tomatoes that u can't carry. single player has even less to say in WT than in wot.I often end game having 1st place because the only cap mine team had was mine wchich i capped and def alone.

Also tomato team balance is even worse in WoT.I am often surrounded by idiots.

-physics, i don't have to say much, some trees u can make fall with ur tenk, another ones just destry whole tenk when u drve at it.Also expect that ur tank will rotate because smallest rock on ur way.

The problem was not that i drifted down a slope and got detracked,  the problem was that i took a left turn and almost immediately started drifting.

@OP i think you need to play the game a little more.  As stated in my earlier post,  i kinda disliked it but now that i am used to the game flow i quite like it

the only thing that sets me off is the grinds

My thoughts exactly OP

I didn't take a look myself yet, but just from youtube videos + twitch stream, the games look is amazing, and everything else is boring campy and random.

imho the focus on realism hurts the game greatly

I want to play this game, but right now there is just too much negativity in the game. Can't really bother. I play from time to time with my friends in platoons, and not many games are needed to kill my interest for the game. Haven't played a single game lately where I haven't been insulted by my teammates or the enemy. Not a single game where I've looked at the map 30 seconds after the battle started and not made a facepalm. Not a single game where artillery hasn't drowned itself instead of go down fighting. And not to mention all the FPS/ping issues and ridiculous tanks like KV-1S and WTE100. There is just no fun playing this game right now. Too bad WarThunder didn't turn out to be as good as I thought it was. Hope this game will be fixed soon.

Yeah, what I've heard from various people is that the 'Other Game' is made for camping, which maybe belies the fact it may be a better game overall.

The 'Other Game' has supposedly gone for realism, and WoT has gone for playability - which is a better thing, if you ask me.

They are worlds apart IMO. If people whine about unfair MM and unkillable tanks in WoT, boy will they hate WT.

I recently got a KV-1 in WT, and that thing can face T-26 tanks and Panzer II's with 20 mm autocannons. If god mode ever was visual that would be it.

And there are some other things that bothers most people, but hey Beta, still unfinished.

All in all WT is fun, but it will not replace WoT simply because the games are so different down to the very core.
