Looks like a fantastic exhibit - now how to convince Mrs MGM that a trip to Bovington is just up her street...:girl:

I like how all the museums are gearing up for this year.

(We tried to go to the IWM last weekend - only to remember not open till June July )

Haha. Tell her you bought tickets for Warhorse then on arrival aplogise as you thought it was the theatre show not a Tank Museum exhibition. Then treat her to a romantic meal at the cafe !  Sure it will work !

G'day Challenger,

Thanks for this. I would love to see it but being in the boonies of Wagga Wagga in Aus and not travelling much, I will use the internet.

Must be the year for this type of commenmoration.

If you or any of your reader/follower/watchers will be in Sydney in late August the NSW Lancers will be holding a pagent to commemorate their history and the changes from colonial horse Lancers, to mounted light infantry,  to tanks to apcs, and will include groups representing their presence at Queen Victoria's Jubilee, being the first colonial vollunteers to arrive and fight in the Boar War, forming the 1st Light Horse, becoming the first motorised machine gun regiment in the  British Empire, a Matilda's which actualy was part of the aroured amphibious assult in Balikpapan of WW2 and of course a Centurian.

Tony

It's an evocative display, well presented and thoughtfully created and I'm not just saying it because I work there and want you all to visit :D (I even feature in the vid, albeit for about 2 seconds!). Make sure you've all bought you're Tankfest tickets too, only 4 1/2 weeks left to wait and this year is gonna be awesome.
