Hello tankers!

I started playing EVE Online again as a secondary game to WoT.

Unfortunately I don't know so many that play it right now. Perhaps some of you guys are playing it already and want to do some stuff together in EVE?

Perhaps you have always wondered what this mythical sci-fi sandbox was like but was scared of the threshold to learn it. In this case I'd be willing help you, to a certain extent. Preferably I'd like that you take a trial invite from me before creating your account. If you later upgrade to a "premium account" I will also recieve a free month of playing. It costs about 15 euro for 1 month of gametime (cheaper if you buy more months). Although I'd prefer it this way I could also help you learn the game a little without you having to buy "premium account" (although strongly recomended).

Invite link to trial/buddy program: https://secure.eveon...31&action=buddy

Expect EVE to cost about 13 euro per month to play...although it IS possible after a couple of months of gameplay to pay for a month through earning enough in game currency.

Sometimes I like to watch some EVE videos just because of those massive ships and small ships and other sci-fi stuff it has. But...meh, I have no wish to start playing new MMO from very beginning if I dont have 100% guarantee or nothing to make it sure that I will continue playing it.

I had an eve addiction from 2004 to 2008/9  multi boxing with 6 accounts, when 30-40 mil skill points was alot.

I am so glad I managed to stop.

Seriously just say no to excel in space.

Yeah....exactly....almost half of EVE is watching Youtube videos, reading guides and stuff....discussing the game, at least for me. The "meta-game" is HUGE! ...and thats not a wonder...as the game in fact IS the best adaption of a sandbox and a real world ecenomy in a computer game (MMO) for like....ever.

Naturally...there is no guarantees that you will like it or that you will be playing it later, as with any game....but something keeps me coming back to EVE. It is a very good looking game and the gathered "wealth" in the game feels "real"....as do the people playing it....and almost the spaceships as well

 :medal:

I recently started recruiting for my corporation (or clan if you will). It is a laid back "corp" that resides in high-security Caldari-space only at the moment....but the sky is the limit  :glasses:

Recently there was a large patch called KRONOS. Some cool additions to the game...and more to come!

Edited my original post with a link to the invite to trial/buddy program.

It gives you extended trial period and if you later choose to subscribe to the game I get a free month...yaaay :glasses:

I love EVE, although haven't played it in a while but might take you up on the offer. I wasn't into joining a corp at the time and only did the agent missions but some of them so hard without having a buddy to join you. Got my Raven well rigged, favourite ship so far.

Haha...yeah...guess you could say that...sure if you're unlucky...basically anything can happen...

...but a lot of it is actually to learn about how NOT to get griefed...and this is also something that creates the "tension" in the game...so in some way the "griefers" are creating "content" in the game.

...and if you can't beat them...join them!

I also recently bought a Raven :great:

We are doing level 4 Sisters of EVE missions in Osmon at times. You're welcome to join.

I will send you a private message here...hope you get it.

I've played EVE for a number of years and have a 92m skillpoint main and two alt accounts with 6 utility characters in them. The game can easily become very time consuming depending on your ambitions and for this reason alone did I stop playing. A great game!

Wow...thats a LOT!

Time consuming....well...EVE is a sandbox game...but yeah...the game is kind of designed (like many other) to "lure" you into spending too much time.

I would however like to promote "a new way of playing EVE". That is the laid back way...where things grow slowly...and you stay in high security space most of the time instead of getting entwined in null security space politics...

I've played it many years and have a main char with about 90m skillpoints and ~1700 kills. Most of my caps/ assets are locked in a 0.0 station now :(

Very good game but it requires a lot of time especially when you live in 0.0. Not suited for casual gaming.

For casual gaming I have WoT now :)

Yeah...well...thats what I am trying to say...with some company the game should be enjoyable even when not in 0.0-space.

(for WoT players...0.0 space is the hardest territory to be in in EVE...it can be compared to playing clan wars in WoT although 0.0 in EVE might require even more of the players)

The big difference between EvE and WoT / other mmo is that when your ship is destroyed it is not spawning again. You need to buy it again.

Each ship/shell/module is build by a real person, some of the ships (super capitals, faction ships) having an Euro value of hundreds, maybe tausends of Eur.

it is not uncommon to see fights between alliances with 1000+ ships in a fight.

high-sec is boring. The fun begins in 0.0 space (alliances, sovereignity wars) and low sec ( pirates).

Most fun you say hmm...still...most that I know of that played in 0.0 like you mentioned have stopped playing altogether cause naturally....when you get to the point when the game is playing you instead of that you are playing the game I guess that is also the point where it could become boring instead of fun. Playing in high-sec as an alternative to not playing at all should be considered I think...not necessarily talking about you in this case but more in general. It would be nice with more "old-timers" who started playing again...but in a more relaxed way....and in a way where they themselves decide how much time they would put in any particular week.

Eve used to be a sandbox game. It used to be good. It used to be dark and a little bit scary. Now it is excel in space.
