I'm sure there have been plenty of these posts but I havent been able to find one that answers my question.. My question is simple-

What is the best way to improve your stats?

I've been playing for a while now and have gotten myself to something like 1400 WN8 which is green, so its okay. But I would like to improve that but I find that it increases EXTREMELY slowly...

I dont want to be a stat padder so I'm curious what must be done- more damage? more kills? more cap points? I currently play for max damage not kills or cap points.

From fellow friends they have said its because as I didnt play seriously at the beginning a lot of tanks do not have great stats, so should I go back to them and perhaps get "Ace Tanker".

Havent really used forum much so sorry if its in wrong place :P

Thanks for any advice :D

I suggest watching some livestreamers, like Sicronflexes and SirFoch (some may make you an arrogant "man sausage" after getting unicum stats..) . Perhaps you'll learn a few trick or two :).

But I can say that do not scout. Spotting dmg has no large meaning for WN8 calculations, it is all about dmg done.. I get 3-4k WN8 with IS-7 while doing 4k dmg, yet with ELC I get 800 WN8 by spotting for 3k dmg.

use scouts to deal damage and your WN8 will explode. 1500 dmg in 13 90 is enough to get 3000 WN8.. so you put one clip in and you're happy.

Edit: also there is a link of expected damage values in every tank. do more than that and you're fine http://www.noobmeter.com/tankList

Psycho, I reckon it's less about padding the WN8, and more about becoming a better player, not just a fake unicum like some people I could name.

-

Well, OP, if you want to be a better player (you're already twice as good as an average player) then your best way of doing it is simply enjoying the game.

-

Try and find a certain tank or tier that you really enjoy, whether it be tier 2 or tier 10. Once you think you have mastered this tank/tier, move onto a tank of a different tier that plays like your favourite. Normally this would be the next tank in the line.

-

Try it, if it feels great, then keep at it. Do whatever you like, but try and enjoy the game. From then on, your stats will naturally rise as you become a better player, learning how your favourite tank deals with certain situations and practicing them.

I prefer to play TD's but I notice that when playing either medium or heavy tanks my stats normally jump up far more than when playing TD's. so my suggestion would be to focus on those 2 tank types if you want a quick improvement.

Not meaning to sound like a **** or anything, but it's Circonflexes, not Sircronflexes.

this is why WN8 is terribad as a stand alone skill gauge. spotting+damage wins games. capping... meh..

Scouting aren't good if you're pure scout, dealing at least a little bit of dmg  and wn8 increases dramatically. ;)

Woody, I agree with you. The best way to improve your wn8 is using very well a tank that you are also enjoy. Moreover, avoid low tiers. T7-10s are good to increase stats. Try to use the advantages of your tanks and hide the disadvantages, too.

Just to update you guys on how it went! I took your advice and just played tanks that I really enjoy and have taken a little break from grinding, for one I have been enjoying the game a lot more! and my WN8 has already increased by around 100 in about a month, so thank you for all the advice :)

Not necessarily. Platooning with unicums will increase your win rate, for sure, but your WN8 will not change, because it is not you who is making your team win.

For example, many people accuse me of platooning with unicums to get my recent stats, and maybe it would help increase my WR, but how could they change my WN8 so dramatically as well?

You'd learn from them and it'd be as watching replays but in live.

Again, not necessarily. For example, get a total bot like Parf and throw him into a toon with two unicums with OP tanks.

They win 7/10 games every session, and they feel good about themselves. Does Parf even recognise why they are winning? Does Parf even regard the unicum playstyle any different to his own? I doubt it.

(no Parf's were hurt in the making of this post)

Of course, if the player doesn't pay attention, it's useless.
