Hey guys, I've had a ridiculous game today in which I fired 4 shots at an IS-4 that mysteriously disappeared. Later on I found that he was driving THROUGH a dead T71 which ate all the shots for him, but he was in front of that wreck and I could see his contour. I have never seen anything so ridiculous in this game.

The bug occurs shortly after 10:20 left in the game when I am shooting at the IS-4 which is trying to decap. Also check out the screenshot which I attach.

yeh there seems to eb a bug with dead tanks not showing up straight off

i shot at a a20 twice in my s35ca and even though I had a red outline and was aiming right at the middle of it, my shells did no damage instead of one shotting the thing... which got me spotted and shot up :/

This was funny. The shells went right through him and hit the T71 behind him :D So troll...

Just a tip: dead white tank are considered bannable mod now :)

I don't think it is, as it doesnt really give an advantage over vanilla. But its has been specifically mentioned as a mod that is illegal to create. Using it, I'm not so sure

Same thing here shells went thru tanks and if i remember right it was IS4 too!

It does, it helps with aiming at tanks hiding behind the wrecks. And with spotting wrecks in dense forests/bushes.

 

WG should finally ban every mod that gives advantages. This is still one of the most ridiculous things about that company....

I'm getting the one where the wreck slides around a bit just after it's been killed quite a lot recently. Pretty unsettling stuff woooOOOOOooooo

I had a game last night where five shells in a row just passed through an enemy E-50 harmlessly, no tank wrecks involved. It was on the same map as your game funnily enough.

I didn't know about that - I'm using OMC modpack and it just says that you can't use it in ESL. I'm sure that the most popular modpack wouldn't contain illegal mods?

It is specifically mentioned as against the rule to be used.

 

5.3. Explicit highlighting of game objects that may seem dangerous as non-hazardous (e.g., white textures on destroyed tanks).

Those are the guildelines for mod developers. The policy for players is here -> http://forum.worldof...-modifications/. It basically says "any mod that gives you an advantage over vanilla is illegal". I didn't consider the white dead tank mod to give an advantage, but I guess in some situations it does. There are a lot of other mods that gives advantages tho, the most popular one being XVM. It's clearly illegal according to WGs policy, yet it's very widely used

So if in guide lines they say that white tanks are forbidden and they name the mod by it's name that doesn't ring as illegal to you?

Maybe it's the "invisible wrecks"-bug? Got reported twice already...

I just checked the replay and you're correct. I was shooting a wrecked E 75 that clearly shows up in the replay but wasn't visible when playing.

Ditto. Had a hellcat yesterday moved a good 40-50 mtrs after I killed him. Spooooooooky.

I am bouncing more shots in KV-1 even against KV-1 and critical hits a plenty and its weird :izmena:

hey its illegal to create them but nobody said anything about being illegal to use them.. that logic, too strong.

I had this too today. In my case it was pretty obviously some kind of de-sync of the wreck location. A tank was shooting me from behind a wreck, then moved next to it into the open and when i shot him the shot exploded right in front of him. After 3 tries I shot the wreck infront of him and the shot went right through - killing him.

 

 

I guess when a tank dies he "dropps" a wreck which in some cases moves a bit client-side. Meaning that we see the wreck in a different place than it actually is on the server. Should get fixed soon tbh because it's kinda annoying when you shoot stuff or don't shoot it because it's behind something that isn't actually there.
