While doing Research in Bovvy, spent most of my time in and on this amazing tank.

Must say it really is roomy! Had some really fun time working on it.

Best was using the front superstructure slope as a slide while getting down!

Richard, two thumbs up for the quality of the subjets you bring to us, always interesting and well researched, and for the calm, poised yet endearing way you deliver them to us :great:

I very much appreciate your videos for moments when I prefer to sit back, relax and learn.

Thanks and looking forward to the next one!

Great video (even if a little too short), Richard! I started british TDs' line for this beauty (Tortoise, not Richard:]), but I can't get over one thing: that in game it has such a huge cupola and a loader in it. there are better ways to balance tanks than changing their shape and relocating crewmembers, WG.

Beginning of your comment made me laugh :)

As someone who has spent quite a bit of time working on the Tortoise for both live measurements and searching for blueprint references. I can tell you we gave a lot of thought about keeping it as realistic as possible.

On another note, the machine gun operator's cupola is fairly big in real life as well. I will upload some close up shots, when I get back to the office.

As Hunter stated he spent a lengthy time gathering the measurements (and fell-off-But that's another story) :sad: We shall share a few images with you.

Good video as always Richard.

Over-riding thoughts;

1) That 32pdr charge! A lot of bang for not a huge muzzle velocity

2) I've rented smaller flats than the inside of that thing

3) Given how little room (relatively) the 32pdr takes up, it does seem to be unnecessarily large and upright. Was this down to the usual War Ministry habit of sticking completely random/pointless requirements into the specification such as mounting 3 machine guns, or being big enough to hide an entire infantry platoon behind it?

Well you know, writing down 700 hp as part of of a proposed project is a bit easier that squeezing out actual 600 hp.

MT-25 was never built, but it is a well documented project.
