It has better mobility than the Shermans, but worse armor than The E2 and slightly worse turret than the T34-85. Overall I fell it's just a weaker version of the T34-85 and I play it very similarly to that tank, just with 100 less damage per game :/

I didnt expect much from Type 58, but despite its inferior gun it seems surprisingly balanced. Reload + HE allows it to harass lightly armored targets pretty well, even when bottom tier.

Type 58 is horrid and buff for it is long overdue.

Just give the gun a reasonable amount of depression and it will be fine... so many places on the maps are totally useless for the tank as it's gun can't point low enough to hit anything

Celebrations! I just got my Type 58's 3rd mark of excellence after a loss in a tier 7 game with 2.5k damage and 4 kills.

Took me 137 battles but here she is lads.

I have a habit of putting 3 marks on tanks before selling them and I've kept it up for the AMX 12t, AMX 13 75 and this thing. Also planning to do it with every tank I consider half decent.

Unfortunately that means I'm selling it too, but it was a very fun grind and the tank is epic, would recommend
