Reminds me of many years ago a friend of mine had been in Moscow on business  - these were in Soviet times.  He bought on the black market a bottle of vodka and some caviar.  My partner and I went round for dinner.  The vodka came out - it had a yellowish tinge and a viscous quality like oil.  We started with a traditional Russian drinking game, down the shots of vodka and up-end the glass over you head to prove you'd finished it all.

It was a great laugh.  Then we had wine, brandy etc.  The next day I thought my brain had melted and that my stomach would turn inside out.

Haha lol...Them drinking games eh?.....That deserves a topic all by itself ))

For days when every shot hits:

Badger beer from Dorset, England of course!

There are many varieties but you can't beat "Tanglefoot".

For times when the MM and RNG hate you and you need something stronger:

Jack Daniels, any one will do!

Enjoy.

And I have enjoyed many a night on the Bishop's Finger of course (copyright whatever ad agency came up with that line)

I prefer Fursty Ferret, but Tanglefoot is also good. A JD is an old friend , but my taste has mellowed to Jameson's these days.

Edit:

Give me a bottle of port and you'll be my new best friend.

Being on a limited income I do most of my shopping in Lidl.  Haven't tried these but perhaps I'll check them out now :great:

Ooooh. Schneider. Haven't had one in a long while. Brings back a lot of fond university memories. Have a +1, good sir. :great:
