It's not a "Jagd Kanonon", it is called "Kanonenjagdpanzer". Please fix. Srsly guys...

edit: other than that good effort though, I like.

Is this the M4 used for the movie? Why don't they pay for the repairs?

Hi, well you could debate that until the cows come home but as its Bovingtons gig and you will notice everywhere they refer to it as the Jagd Kanonon we were obliged to go with that.

As for the M4 you are indeed correct, the answer is a very long story

Is that M4 actually the one that story is all about in the movie?

Well I am just going to tell this once.

4 steps of fixing half the museum :)

1. Make a type 59 package with delayed delivery to hangar for 49.99 or even 99.99 with some gold and useless crap :)

2. Make it available only for 24 hours

3. Tell people you will receive the tank in order purchased

4. Release only 50 per day for the next few months into the game to prevent type 59 mayhem in the tier 8.

You will make a metric ton of money and the museum would be able to fix 3 more tanks added to the ones you showed.

And you will not get the type 59 overflow in the MM.

Have a nice day.

A great museum, especially since the renovations! Would recommend a visit to anyone with an interest. Glad to see that funds from player purchases can be put to good use! Will be interesting to see what is available

Im looking forward to visiting Bovington, but please, please bring back a version or modification of the Type 59 and you will have enough donations to restore all of those listed tanks about 50 times over. No matter what price you make it, people will buy it and the money would be going to a worthwhile cause.

Recently the premium shop is nothing but spammed credits+gold packages that everyone is bored of now. We haven't had any "decent" rare tanks on offer for a while.

If you really are interested in helping Bovington and giving the players something desirable to get, release a Type 59 variant.

Does anyone know whether the special gift shop packages will also be available at Tankfest?

A story behind how the vehicle was named:

Great stuff, as an ex JLR RAC person Bovy will always be remembered.

They should start looking into getting the Porsche Jagdtiger restored, would love to see that rolling at a Tankfest venue.

I fully agree with the Type59 comments, that would be nice.

"Kanonon" isn't even a word in German, "Kanone" is. Maybe they mean "Jagdkanone" or something, which would be at least close to "Jagdpanzer Kanone 90mm".

I mean just google "Jagd Kanonon". You get 10 results (two of which lead to this thread), this alone should be a pretty big hint that something is wrong. Maybe you can tell them if you get the chance

The German and Chech versions of the news article got it right btw.

Regarding the M4 I think we are very interested in long stories. If they had enough money to hire Brad Pitt you would think there is a little something in the budget for Bovington too.

edit: This is a picture of the Kanonenjagdpanzer in the Wehrtechnische Studiensammlung in Koblenz I took myself. The Bundeswehr should know the correct name of the vehicle don't you think?

So, a historical tank gets damaged by a filmcrew and  the repair (this is not a restoration) is financed by Wargaming and the products sold to its players? Seriously?

And yeah, its not "Jagd Kanonon"...Actually very sad for a museum to not even get the name right...
