Don't despair, apparently we're getting some sweet premium tank bundles in gift shop this weekend to support restorations at Bovington Tank museum:

"Over the weekend of 21-22 June, players will have the opportunity to purchase a series of special premium shop packages for Wargaming.net games. Proceeds from these special packages will go towards restoration projects at Bovington so that more of its tanks can function as they once did and be used in the museum’s public displays".

You never know, cud even be a T-59!!!

If a Type 59 comes up for sale this w/e, I will ____________ a donkey.

Edit:

And post a picture of me doing it.

Maybe that ""dedication"" would earn me 1st prize in some stupid contest in WG and I win a Type instead of paying for it....

It is probably gonna be KV5, KV220, Tetrarch, PZ B2 packages.  50 Euro with Gold.

Not bad, but not what millions of ppl who came on to this gr8 game after the Type was removed want.  And those that have types desperately want to not have returned so they can ""show off"' their 4-5 skill Type.

I have a Type, I don't mind if they are brought back, it would hopefully mean the end of the "Z0MGGG NERF teh OP type 59" threads.....unfortunately it would probably also spawn a lot of "Z0MMGGG teh t59 is teh sux i want ma moniesss back WG" threads.

I tried the Type on a friends account.  It is MUCH better then the T-34-2.  And considering that it has been nerfed, I truly wonder how good it was.

Regarding the issue with 8-10 types in a match, BIG DEAL!!!

8 RHM's in a match.  8 T62/Obj 140.  8 WTE100's.  8 KV1S's, 8 Hellcats.  It is all over the place.

Only difference is that by selling the Type again, WG would make MONEY.  Guess some of the Commie blood is still in dem Minsk boyz.-)

No idea how it compares in play to t34-2 as i havent ground up there yet.

With regard to when it first came out....   oh it was goooood. What also didnt help was that unlike any other tank before or since some unspoken code came into play whereby all Types would wolf pack and then walk all over the other team. It was like a horde of locusts and it was very very hard for the enemy to stop them. Thats the difference between having 8 rhm or 8 wte etc.

but you missed out the next line...

"So instead of merely donating to the museum yourself, Wargaming.net is offering you a chance to resupply your virtual tanks while at the same time investing in the restoration of some real-world tanks in dire need"

who says there will be special tanks, my reading of it says they'll be supply type packages rather than tanks themselves...

Yes, see, there was a special super rare tank! It just wasn't the T59, it's the French sky pig instead :-) And what a nasty sky-pig, won't be looking forward to seeing those on enemy teams.

The special offer is here:

http://worldoftanks....oost-bovington/

Unfortunately not Type 59, but is worth considering, free t5 rare premium, worth of 1500 gold plus free slot, at least something different from usual crap. This arty is fun to play, because it reloads under 8sec with rammer and BIA, faster than many tanks. Not much damage, but in t5 and t6 battles can kill a lot of tanks...

And silver packages are with better than 1:600 ratio, which is welcome.
