The shell didn't penetrate your armor - the splash hit your engine. Shot the same spot with any >150mm gun with HE and you can experience the same.

Auto-Feuerlöscher is a necessity in any german tank!

Flaming Gearbox of DoomTM, german speciality. If you drive an E 100 you can expect to be set on fire from the front as well as form the back and being ammoracked from the side.

Never heard of such a thing, also it was first time in my wot career to get engine on fire by a splash dmg(from a shell that didn't explode in front of my tank but hit the turret causing fire and none of my crew member get injured or any tank modules damaged.

- Get a few friend and start a training room.

- Bring a Maus, E 100, Jgpz E 100 and your E 100.

- Load HE with 15cm gun.

- Shot the others somewhere under/next to the gun, as close to the hull roof as possible.

- Enjoy doing 1k dmg to a Maus with HE and set it on fire with the same shot.

I'd be surprised if the E-100 didn't combust...
