I would not buy these offers but I would donate to bovington for a fantastic cause...

Try adding a 'Donate' button....WG might be surprised by the results ))

Since this is the new thread for it, i guess Ill ask my questions here:

Why would you choose to make 2 out of the 3 available special packs Gold+Credit bundles when that is what is released in the premium shop every single week?

Just by simply looking at the last 6 months of premium shop discussion threads it clear people dont like them and would much rather spend money on rare tanks, which begs the second question why only one rare tank available?

People would jump at the opportunity to get a Type 59, Type 62 or any premium tank thats not a KV5/KV220/Tetrarch/PZB2 as that seems to be all we get as "rare" pack nowdays?

People had some great Bovington suggestions like a premium Tiger 131 or any of the multitude of classic and rare examples they have there, simple things like that people would gladly donate for.

But when you bring back the same Gold+Credits packs every week and then offer them in a special people just dont want it. Even more so with things like the Steam Summer sale on and competitors releasing massive premium bundles.

This could have been a great opportunity to release so real desirable tanks for the players and give the proceeds to a really historic cause, but considering these packs/premium tanks cost you nothing to put together I feel like it was a real missed opportunity.

Any answers would be appreciated...

I'm going to buy one of them packs. Don't need the gold, don't need the credits, but hey, I want to support the museum!

Donate direct then.
Bovington will get more that way.

I already have the Arty and will never buy a pack with credits, but  commend the  idea.

According to FTR this morning all of it. So maybe the packages aren't great, but you still get something back while your money goes to Bovington entirely. I was hesitating at first, but after that info it's less a question of if and more a question of which. Got no use for arty, but the gold amount is also nice with that pack

This just seems like repeating the WG article. I don't trust the phrase "all the proceeds" - too easy to claim "costs" and pocket some/most of the money and claim only a small profit which is then donated.

Can we *please* have some official confirmation of this? If I drop EUR50 on a package how much will the museum see?

We shouldn't really have to ask. Usually when stuff is sold to support a good cause they make it 100% clear how much is donated.

Lefh package bought.

No splash, very low alpha but amazing ROF, ~8second reload time fully pimped.

Just like arty should be, support fire specialized in annoying them campers.

Was worth it as i was gonna buy the gold anyways (hey why not a free super rare tenk while yer at it). Seeing the money goes to a good cause was the deciding factor though. I hardly ever spend money on games.

What happens if you buy the package -  with the gold, the arty, and the slot, but you already have that arty?

Usual practice would be for you to get the gold equivalent.

1500gold according to wiki: http://wiki.worldoftanks.com/105_leFH18B2

So just add 1500 gold onto whatever is already in package.

Many thanks Edstock85.

I went ahead, that just what happens. You get the gold you bought, then a few seconds later get another 1,500 gold 'compensation', and your extra slot. Cool! (Your existing tank remains exactly the same; crew, modules, camo not touched.)

PS: Went to Bovington for a full day last year and we really enjoyed it. Nice to be able to  support the place :-)

No problem. Nice to know the answer to a question!

Hope you enjoy your purchase :).

I am holding off until someone from WG explains how much money Bovington will get. They've been strangely silent on it so far, ignoring anyone who asks, but they must have seen it 'cos they've been replying to all the people whining about the gold/credit packages in the same threads eg. : http://forum.worldoftanks.eu/index.php?/topic/402511-wargamingnet-teams-up-with-the-tank-museum-at-bovington/page__st__20#topmost .

Dear Ladies,

dear Gentlemen at Wargaming,

I would enjoy to buy premium articles at your shop, and also I would use a premium account, if you would inject some million euros or dollars into foundations that work, for example, helping people injured by landmine explosions.

Yours sincerely,

M. Furlock
