Our beloved author recently released now screens from supertest.

There were some info about the LTTB before but now we got to see it.

Spoiler

Do you think it will be the evolution of the MT-25 ? Is it time to start getting exp on that tank ?

Isn't LTTB the tier 8 top of the line fantasy light?

Apparently they just can't fit enough fantasy stats onto the tank to make it tier 8-capable, so they downgraded it to tier 7. Stronk Soviet tonk designers bow heads in shame.

Is only tier 7, they confirm that tier 8 light is going to be the light T-54, looks like they decide use it as end of the light line and not as new med premium tier 8

Instead we're getting a 'prototype' T-54 as premium. So disappointing, such a vehicle will probably be perfectly playable, but it won't be /interesting/.

Well they add a new prem for soviets...

Here a rough comparison... but WG says the T-54 M1945 is going to be the "soviet Superpershing" :teethhappy:

Pffft, no way. 500hp engine on a 50 ton tank versus 520hp engine on a 35 ton tank? They would need to give it a horrendous ground resist to come near Super Pershing's level of non-speed

So it seems I will get my Type-ish med prem after all

BTW. LT-54 might be almost identical to Chinese 132, so after some though it might not be a bad thing. Appart from putting a new tank into the game that is already there...

It will be bigger (harder to hide and potentially having a lower camo stat) and have a lower top speed. Also lower P/W ratio unless Light T-54 gets some heavy engine upgrades.

This light t-54 looks like an overpowered version of t-34-2. Armor seems too strong plus it retains its camo behind bushes cuz of 'light tank' label... It might even be better than the type

Preliminary supertest stats (FTR):

Block Quote

Stats for 100 percent crew

Weight: 22,680 tons
Hitpoints: 950
Viewrange: 390
Radio range: 761,3

Hull armor: 90/45/?
Turret armor: 90/75/?

Engine: 700 hp
Power-to-weight: 30,86 hp/t
Maximum speed: 68/20
Hull traverse: 48 deg/s
Ground resistance: 0,863/0,959/1,534

Gun: 85mm
Penetration: 170
Damage: 180
DPM: 2208,4
Reload: 4,89s
ROF: 12,269
Accuracy: 0,345
Aimtime: 2,01s
Depression: -3/+15
Turret traverse: 50,1 deg/s

Looking good, especially power/weight and gun stats.

The gun depression will hurt the tank a lot though.

The P/W is deceptive. The ground resist is much higher than the USA lights, AFAIK, so this thing will not be as fast as the other new tanks. The Walker Bulldog has... 0.5 on hard? Something like that.

That new tank looks like T-50 with T-34/85 turret.

I would love WG to drop the out of their arses terrain resistance once and for all... It is retarded stat when the range of values goes from 0,5 to 1,5 base hard ground res. WTF, seriously, I do get that tanks have different terrain performance due to track and suspension desing, but this is BS.

Now i'm puzzled what a "light tank" is. I took a quick look at some MEDIUMS at tier 7. None of them has 90mm of armour AND weight under 30 tons AND have 170 mm pen guns. According to some russian sources, the characteristics are based on what military officials desired (the usual stuff: have 10 largest possible guns, fly, swim and kill everything at distances over 10 km), not what designers proposed. Even 90mm of armour is penciled in by somebody over the initial requirements. It's not even a "napkin" tank. Just another "historically accurate" creation by WG.

They also don't have LT MM, so they will play mostly as top tier or in tier 8 games while tier 7 LTs have mostly tier 9 and 10 games. Before alphs nerf on Waffe AFKPanther have stats easily better then all tier 7 meds, but it could not do much since it was faced with top tiered teams.

Does anyone know the amount of XP needed from the tier 6 light (I assume) to get this tank, perhaps shown on test server ?

Just look at other tier 7 light tanks?

But it's always within certain margins. Usually if a tank has cheap/few modules, the next tank will be more expensive. If it has a lot of upgrades, the next tank tends to be cheaper. But the prices are very close together. Most tier 7 tanks cost between 45 and 60k. AMX 13 75 is an outlier at 67k, but the AMX 12t has barely any modules, nor does the 13 75 itself, so it has a higher price.
