I've put some of my better games on YouTube, as it's nice to watch them again every now and then. I have a video up of a game I played in my Lorraine arty, I put it on YouTube apr 2013. Today I received this email

Hi vartriiness,

Due to a copyright claim, you are no longer monetising the following YouTube video. It is still playable on YouTube, but the copyright owner could choose to show ads on it.

Video title: Lorr 155 (51) gameplay - first 2 shots= 2 100% health kills
Copyrighted song: Wildlife Exploitation Preserve Ambience
Claimed by: IDOL, UMG, [Merlin] Phonofile
 View claim details
Why this can happen

Your video might contain copyrighted content.
A copyright claim on a video can prevent you from monetising it.

so can anyone tell me if these guys own the sound to WoT and all my videos will be claimed by them?

Vart

sorry for topic bump, but, i seen alot of videos taking musics from other games, or any other music, and they didnt get deleted for any copyright. i dont know from where the heck they picked it. it would violate copyright if you make money with that video, wich is called selling, while he didnt sell anything that Uses that music. i might be wrong.

What do you think monetising means?

They don't necessarily delete your video for using music without owning the copyright for it, but they do block any ad revenue you might receive otherwise.
