Do not watch streams, and most importantly, do not EVER "donate" any money to these people.

I watch whatever I want, and I give my money to whoever I want.

Mind your own buisiness, go away!

As this is a topic about streaming, the above reminds me of deluxe 4 from KYR Sp33dy's crew....

would be interesting to know how much uploading capacity you need for some proper quality streaming.

IGL 3500KB/s sustainable, in other words at least 50Mbit/s upload speed.

Either way i tried this mod out, and it was spasming about streaming not streaming streaming not streaming, if i tried to click settings it greyed out and kept on spasming out. So its not 100%. OBS is still a great choise and i think this mod is based on OBS?

so is there a way to put some kind of overlay and webcam in it, or is it useless?

Actually it does have support for adding overlay webcam, and where you position it/what size.

However OBS also has that, as you can add multiple "scenes" to a single broadcast, lots of sources, add some image to block chat etc. More tricky tho and not so obvious. This handy tool is supposed to make it easy, but it doesnt really work.

It did not work for me and just caused the client to hang.  The other irritating thing is that every time you come out of a game the Twitch mod logon dialog appears when you are not streaming -- Every time Why Why WHY does it need to [edited]at players to stream?  Does WG not think that they have the capacity to know when they want to stream?   I am going back to GeForce shadowplay for streaming and recording.

Yea, there are programs like XSplit and OBS for years, I dont think just trying to make something similar is a good idea. Its never going to be as good as those and if you mean streaming seriously, I'd recommend going for serious equipment.

XSplit is crap, i have tested it extensively and it can be good but then it uses 8+MB/s which is more than twice what the twitch servers can handle. OBS is more lightweight and better optimized, uses less bandwidth for same quality. do NOT pay for XSplit since there is a better and 100% free alternative.

XSplit may be more user friendly but its terrible!

Regardless of what you think, this feature is built into most of the F2P games I play. Its a step in the right direction as far as I am concerned.

I watch Twitch all the time and I have never donated. In fact most streamers don't ever ask for money -  but if they are making money from streaming/YouTube then that's fine by me. It beats working in a factory all your life. More power to them.
