Wrong;  very wrong. It's not a scout, it's too sluggish to scout. It can passive spot (binocs, camo, camonet etc.) but using the T-80 For scouting is ill-advised. There are far better tanks suited for doing so than the T-80.

The T-80 Is basically best for support; the fast-firing 45mm VT-42 (?) can put effective fire into the sides and rear of enemy tanks and chew them apart, and there are still plenty of tanks that you can chew from the front with it. It won't be as effective as a Matilda at chewing away, but it is still very capable of it. Sadly, you will die very quickly if spotted since most of the armour is as good as cardboard, though the front is nicely sloped and can bounce.

Well there's the T-50, Luchs, Pz. 38 nA, M5 Stuart, M5A1 Stuart. There's probably one or two that I'm missing, but from that lot, personally, I find the Luchs the most fun. That said, I literally only play it in double/triple platoons of other Luchs.

EDIT: Didn't the A-20 Get it's matchmaking dumbed down to regular Tier IV Matchmaking Breiten?

ROTFLMAO

Seriously, luchs is most fun - if you know what you are doing it rocks, i really fear for nerf... I'm having second crew now and even without good crew i can manage and not struggle.

A-20 sees tier 4-6 battles = it does not have scout matchmaking anymore, but if you want to scout in it your welcome.

T-50 is still a scout tier 4-7 battles.

A-20 lost scout status. Soviets only have the T-50 as tier 4 scout now.

I wonder if A-20 is playable now, I kinda rushed through it at the start of my carreer...

Be sure to load some APCR and do troll-toons with T-50's, that's what I did and T8's don't expect the effectivemeness: Binocs, Camo net and Vents.
