Please.. I dare you to play ONE, just ONE game in it and still say it needs a nerf,, Seriously.. These people.

The moment you park 10m off the [edited]of an enemy tank, aiming circle fully covers the tanks rear, you want to shoot, but think.. Nonono, this is the T49, it WILL miss when not fully aimed, imma wait the whole 10-ish seconds for it to fully aim. Click.. MISS and get rekt. Thats when you realise it will never be op.. Ever.

 

You dont play the T49.. It plays you.

T49 is awful, to score a hit you have to brawl, and when you brawl, you are about to get rekt.

I am driving german, french and american light very frequent. I did like the Bulldog (allthough getting ammohitted full-life to 0 in one shot happened a lot). I do like the T49 with the big gun. Sometimes (very rare) I can hit 1 or 2 times in a row. Using the big gun is so unreliable that I stopped using it. I now take the stock gun which gives more stable (still not much) results. Could minimize a WT P4 with normal HE from distance (320 damage per shot). Still you meet many tanks u can not damage really with HE (I find the HEAT to expensive here). Bulldog with it's standard APCR is much more reliable there. I just grind through it without having fun...

I do not get what all the fuss is about. This vehicle is in no way as powerful as so many people think it is. Most of the people commenting on how OP t49 is, have just been hit once or twice for some damage and now complain how this is the most powerful tank ingame. We all have been hit for large amounts of damage. In my opinion this vehicle is almost broken as a light tank. Those guns simply do not work- the first one has no pen with regular ammo and the big gun has no place on a light tank. Yes, it can potentially do a lot of damage but only to lightly armored targets. Hitting something on the move is impossible and you must stop and aim. Also this reload time means that if you miss you are defenceless for 20 seconds. Other scouts can absolutely rape you since you cant shoot them reliably. So the only thing you can do is stay behind and engage targets that are already busy with your teammates, get behind them and do some damage. Yes, this vehicle is fun but only for the "lol" moments which are not so much. This is certainly not a valuable vehicle for the team.

I finally got the upgraded turret and the 152mm Gun Launcher and damn this thing is FUN. Smacking tanks for 200-400 damage from the front at 300m is just hilarious. And those moments when you penetrate a soft target and see the delicious 900 damage pop up... KV-2 doesn't get that so much, it may penetrate more hits but few tanks have enough HP for it to take :trollface:

 

I had a terrible winrate when it was stock, but now that it's elite I've managed to pull it up to about 48%.

 so, you rather frequently allow a 152mm derp to flank you, knowing u have like, what, 40mm of side armour that even HE can pen? GZ.

I think you need to get nerfed back to tier 6 and learn how to deal with derps from there on before you get to comment on what should be nerfed next

Not  gonna lie, this tank greatly benefits from dumb enemies. More so thx to lel alpha that can sometimes occur.

It's so much easier to blame alpha than your own stupidity to let it happen.F*ck logic.

this tank remind me of the amx 40(only difference is that the amx 40 has armor)

i hope the Speed with the top turret will be better and the 152 is at least usefull this 102 mm pen stock gun is it not

T49 surely is a scout but probably the best way to use it, is to think of it as a fast tank destroyer/ambusher. You should always have to know what your exit path is since your armor is made of wet cardboard glued with spit and you can forget about the second shot.

 

Using HE is the way to go since the HEAT is just too unreliable. 

 

I have a strong feeling that patch 9.6 brought significant nerf to the effectiveness of HE round on T49. Before 9.6 patch, I was able to one-shot other tier VIII scouts. Now, it is almost impossible to achieve such a shot.

*sighs* reached the 94 for the third time, fell way back just in couple of battles. Suprising how much can a tomato mach or a shiet rng influenced game effect your MoE percantage.

 

I didnt notice the lack of oneshots, you do miss more and hi tthe tracks more often tho.

it still happens as long as you hit it on a flat non armoured surface.

yday i killed an amx1390 in one shot, by killing his entire crew.

day before i oneshoted ru251 by lightning it up + 900dmg shot

generaly, if you can, try to land the shell on their roof or engine compartment.

 

acc nerf does show. as a result i bush /2nd line "snipe" more and use 5m range derping as a last resort since its completely possible for me to miss  that shot & than im screwed. Can easily scout in it; finished the LT15 mission in prok. with 13k spotting dmg but its much more fun to be played as "scout interceptor". just rush the location that will cross enemies light route and derp them out in the early game to avoid any later annoyances.

 

I usualy try to eliminate fast tanks and good spotters first. Once you're the fastest tank in the match, everything becomes a childs play.

If i cant oneshot late game targets, i try to score a commanders kill. With SS you quickly see when you did this. It gets even easier from there on.

 

If i would platoon with it, id probably support heavy tanks more and farm my damage there as an annoying peekabo attachment.

FULL AIMED AT 100M CANT HIT AN e50m showing his all side... retard random troll gun...

It can be fun but it's a freakin terrible scout, handles like a pig and it's really slow off the mark.

 

Occasionally fun....yes, but it's the worst T8 scout by a fair margin.

its not scout

its a support light tank that can scout(very bad)

and even supporting someone with the 152 is often a fail on this tank

 

its slow(i dont mean the top speed u reach only hill down or after u crossed the entire map on flat ground without turning

i mean the usual driving speed because of the terrible acceleration and the speed loss at turning which is like a ship)

and to top it it has a horrible camo value and is huge that nearly ever shot at u will hit

 

and the gun is the worst thing of this tank

if u hit u do 200 damage(with a 910 he gun) on paper tanks(i mean french scouts and co)

and hitting tanks is the main problem of this gun 

yes sometimes u do 910+ damage on the back of the enemy tank but that rarely happens

I do more than 200 dmg shooting Mauses and E100s in the face.  Trynot hitting the tracks.

 

Top tip:

Sometimes it is better to wait for a better shot than to fire sooner.

With this gun, getting a good hit in is what counts. More dakka may work well with other lights, but not this one.

The only people who complain pretty much are scout, arty and soft skinned td players because it's turned the tables on them.  TD's got their view range nerfed and scouts were made more effective and now the td's cry.  No longer can a WT series tank hide in a bush 500m behind the action kill stuff with impunity - And they don't likes it.

Buff this tank... Seriously, play it and then tell. Its shell loading is long, but with that I can live with. But it aims too long(about 10s from stop) and aim circle is too big therefore it is prone to not hit target. Seriously, in this very big LT and  with this bad camo rating it is suicide to aim so long. Yet necessary. Frustrating tank at the times, rewarding  sometimes :)

 

Still I like the sound of gun. And sometimes when enemy is unthinking chicken I may contribute with something for my team.
