Nice, I'm actually interested, shame it's Brad Pitt and not the guy who've played Ragnar Lodbrok in Vikings but I guess it will bring more people to the movies so no biggie ^^

Good stuff, I look forward to the release.

What a stupid plot. Outnumbered and outgunned - that means GERMANY, not the freakin allies which came in huge numbers. I was really looking fwd (and I will keep looking) for a great movie which shows the REALITY of war, how the germans in huge numerical inferiority managed to inflict grievous losses to the never-ending armies of the allies.

The white tiger remains the best WW2 tanks movie.

individual engagments are what soldiers remember they dont get to sit and look at the whole war after it ended.

Actually Germany's entire war strategy was to outnumber and outgun the Countries it picked on, like Poland etc. (which is reasonable, it's what armies are meant to do, attack weakness with strength). Even in Barbarossa, June 1941 the German invasion force significantly outnumbered and outgunned the Russians defending, and the Germans only attempted it in the first place because they were so sure after seeing the Russians struggle in the Winter War against Finland that Russia would be a cake walk). Germany ended up outnumbered and outgunned in the end because their strategies were a total failure, that's no one else's fault but their own. Eg - America never declared War on Germany, Germany declared war on them, after sinking millions of tonnes of their shipping off the USA Atlantic coast had failed to provoke them to declare war). Fair enough the Werhmacht were incredibly brave & achieved amazing things, particularly as the situation stacked up against them, but considering Germany started it, considering they were being heroic & determined on other peoples soil that they'd invaded, considering their bravery & grit in defense simply protracted the War, causing many more casualties and extending the life of things like the death camps, it's not exactly hero film material. And there were plenty of engagements toward the end of the War where the Germans still outnumbered and outgunned the Allies. Bastogne is a perfect example.

But whatever, on topic it looks like a very good film, and funnily enough, the battle scenes in the tank look a lot like the original WOT's promo trailer. It's impressive that WG isn't afraid to step into the mainstream with big film promotions like this.

Btw, will we get a Sherman "Fury" premium (please)?

Haha, you guys are supporting education :bajan:

What I can see on this trailer is:

Tiger bounces at point blank range and sherman blows the tiger up. What can I say? Maybe it'd be better if I sing:

I expect Fury to be a Hollywood "bad vs good" movie. No doubt good marketing for both parties.

Wargaming.net is well known for its many efforts in supporting education, especially World War II history.

Made me chuckle. After the Winter War article I've skipped all of em.

Couldn't disagree more with this, let me explain why.

To many ( especially young people) history is not a particularly interesting or dynamic subject, a list of facts and dates lacks substance and appeal. You need to find an "in". I should know as I occasional take lectures in Schools.

To appeal to the masses history needs to be bought to life, a film such as this does just that. Now I have no idea until I watch it whether its going to be a bag of pooh or not, but I will watch it because it has tanks in (Especially to see what they have done with Bovingtons Tiger 1).

The point is not the film in itself but if it makes one person think "you know what, I would like to learn more about the Tiger, or the conflict, or etc etc, then it has educational value.

Someone earlier mentioned the "Realities of War" well having experienced combat in a Tank and witnessed first hand it is not something I really wish to share with my children, however it is a part of history and something which for a multitude of reasons should not be forgotten and continued to be taught and reflected on always.

So love the film, hate the film, scoff at the Hollywood glam, point out to your children/friends/ family that really that round just bounced !

It's only if they really go and study WWII period afterwards. Otherwise people will just believe what they saw on the TV screen and I'm almost sure that those will be a majority.

How about you tell us something?

Oh, there is a film out - you told us already.

What themed content and bonuses? - Is it something good, something crippled (must play in a platoon), or just some shop discounts?

Please cut out the pointless marketing puff, and tell us something when there is acually something to announce.

REALLY looking forward to a scene where the poor Sherman crew sees a terrifying steel monster and realizes that it cannot be killed with their shells!

No... not the Tiger... or even Tiger II...

I'm talking about those experimental only-on-blueprints examples! :D (Maus, E-100 series, all Jagds, etc.)

That would be so scary to see how much fear they can actually inflict! (This is a movie, I know... But still! :blinky:)
