AW looks very promising. But it seems, as of now, that they're aiming at maps of around 1200*1200 meters. So they will have modern tanks battling on midget maps. I hope they will increase the map sizes before the game is done because with the accuracy of modern tanks maps the same midget size that we have to suffer in WoT won't do. Or perhaps AW won't throw in mountains on their maps so that 1/3 of the [edited]map is inaccessible.

Asked a friend if he would join me test it someday, he replayed he doesn't want to play with modern tanks. This is the first reason some people will always stay here.

The second reason -> Gaijin Entertainment tried to make close to a simulator game than to an arcade one and that's why they failed. Wargaming had stayed smart promoting real physics while staying true to an arcade game. Not much people like the hard feeling of a simulaton gameplay, it's just not feeling right. I played and got to tier 3 there. It's just a not great feeling -> one game you one-shot some tanks 5 times in a row and don't get penetrated at all and on the second game, you are getting one-shotted while doing nothing to the enemy. Ammo racks and engine fires on "balanced" MM is common there, it's just not pleasing.

Who would want to play that game on a tournament?

 

I will try Armored Warfare but I doubt it will grab me as much as World of Tanks did.

Waiting for the new engine and for multi-core support!
