open the .xml file in Notepad (or Notepad++) and replace all "," into "." through using the "replace all"function ;)

So what happens is that your WoTools Version makes commata (,) instead of points (.) so game crashes. Just open your conf. XML with Notepad++ and go to "search", tip a  "," into the search window and go to searching in open files, so you will see many lines where you've got  , instead of  .  !!

Here I've uploaded an updated Version of "WoTools" which works perfect without making commata for me:

I'm guessing something or someone upset him to the point he'said thrown the towel in, but that's just speculation. I don't know him well, but I sent him a PM on NA forum offering him my ear, so we'll see if he responds, though I've only talked to him like twice so not sure it will count for much. It's a shame though, cause he is so damn good and I wouldn't have even got into skins or mods if it weren't for his work and yours Sgt. Not to mention server hopping to get 50 battles to post in here.

He also deleted all of his repositories on Github :/ Some good soul who has the models downloaded to upload and share?

Really sad to see him go, hopefully WG hired him and we'll see some official models from him now.

Hi Milky,

i am realy sorry for your retirement. for me it seems like sort of sudden aggressive retirement but this is your decision. i think nobody forced you to do more and more remodels - sorry to lose you completely! Thanks for your great work but nobody forced you to this burnout.

I forced myself to push harder and harder. It was an ego thing. Knowing myself and my impulsiveness this is the most appropriate way for me to end it without the risk of falling back into old habits.

I can understand him too, because I was in a same manner pressed "into service" by myself to make more and more skins to give all users what they wanted : skins for their tanks.

And because I am a perfectionist I tried to make it as good as it could have been: historical correct with all signs and emblems the real tank was using in time of his service.

So I've was blamed and flamed for this to be a NAZI and so on. But most of my friends and followers were able to make the difference between the willingness to make hist. correct skins and to have a fascist

political ideology. Nevertheless I've lost the right level between RL and my work for WoT and WT. My wife had forgotten how I look like........................

So in a first impulsive reaction I've closed all my threads and had begun to delete my work. But many friends of mine and followers have had written to me that it would by a little tragedy to loose all the good work of mine.

So I've made a dicision for me: Just do not make any skins for requests, only make skins for my son, grandson and myself and share them with you all.

First place is now my family absolutely and after then me and my hobbies like WoT and so on. And with this dicision I have made it right I think. Sometimes, when time is allowing it, I make a skin for a users request, but this is not the rule....................

So what I want to say is the following: Maybe the "hard cut" is a way too hard because all your work, enthusiasttic engagement and time you've spent for your amazing work is gone, is lost, is away for an

impulsive reaction which I can understand, but for myself I think, it's a bit too hard reaction.

Maybe you will find a way for yourself to make it both: working for WoT Remodells, denieing any requests and having a good amount of RL for yourself and your friends/family.

But be sure, your work will last longer as you would think for now.

Hope I see you soon back,

Sarge

:honoring:

It might have been an extreme measure but in my mind that was the right decision. I've been following the modding scene of different games since the release of Warcraft 3. The Skyrim paid mods fiasco was a huge mess and mods from the Nexus were stolen left and right and uploaded by pirates which in the end lead to the original author receiving all kinds of nasty messages and even death threats from entitled little kids that thought it was their right to have those mods. I don't want it to go that far.

If you've checked The Armored Patrol you can see the blog owner calling for readers to upload my skins to Mediafire so those people can still have the work I've done for themselves. This very selfish thing and blatant disrespect of my decision and the fact that some commenters support it just shows that it was the right thing to stop modding and remove everything.

Also leaving old releases up would ultimatively lead to people asking me over and over again to update those to the current version.

Pz.III ausf.M from WT

  • All resources imported or derived from WT
  • levered suspension, segmented track
  • compatible with camo/insignia/emblems
  • no crash model or LoD

More screenshots as follow:

Spoiler

Download:

  • [required] main Model pack V1.1
    • For ease of maintenance, default xml is no long packed in main model. You need to install at least one of the xml from xml package for the remodel to work.
    • Or ,you can use Universal Model Loader to assign this remodel to ingame tanks. Then xml scripts won't be necessary.
  • [required if you don't use ownModelLoader] full xml package [0.9.17.1]
    • xml package for all tanks in the game. Extract and install only the ones you want to apply the remodel to. Do not install the whole xml package
  • [optional] texture pack (german grey/ soviet green/ us olive/ NATO)
