Tier 4 is the first tier where the majority of your matches will be against opponents that are not tanks that you can effectively go toe to toe with: you have to actually play like a light tank. The way some of you are talking is as if this tank is the equivalent of the D.W.2 in it's class. If you understand the role of a light tank, then you understand that the Pz38 Na has everything it needs to be successful in that role.

You are right - there are so many Tier VII Heavies which go faster than 62 km/h.   What planet do you play on?

When I said "fast" I didn't just mean top speed.

Well despite what you mean, there are no heavies capable of keeping up with the 38 nA, not top speed and not maneuverability.

I like my little nA. Quick, stealthy and the gun selection is not too bad for a tier 4 light.

It's my favourite tank in the game :) unless MM is tier 4/5 i always passive scout first half of the match. The tank is tiny enough to fit in bushes where you would not want to park a higher tier scout, so you can spot from unexpected locations. The camo on this tank is amazing :P

Could do this with any scout tank really but results are quite nice for tier 4 i reckon. Quite nailbiting when the T37 almost discovered me :harp:

invisitanks ftw

What took you so long to find this topic? :)

I have to agree it's a pretty decent tank after you've taught me how to play it. This thing can use some engine oil. It's something a lot of scouts can use as long as you respect the first scout tank rule ... don't get hit. Having such a low amount of hp means it doesn't really matter whether or not you carry a fire extinguisher anyways.

It's a good tank, good scout, solid base for future scouting.

Is for you.

My M5A1 proves to be OP with 4 Orliks medals.:child:

Please check the Tank Compare page, statistik and most parameters are better than 38 nA. Even Luchs is better. I don't get how people can love this krap:

Comparing-scouts

I have an Orlik's on my PZ 28 na after 57 battles and it started off with a 75% crew. The M5A1 Stuart was my first scout and had poor stats. I've only just brought him from black to just under yellow in the space of 20 battles. It's also a lovely litte machine.

I guess nobody really pays a lot of attention to these scouts as they are classified as harmless. The high calibers should prove them wrong.

The Ke-Ho is gud. (MT gameplay).

The main diff between 38 nA and M5A1 is that the latter has -10 depression - can abuse hills like a bawse. Plus,if angled properly, can bounce same guns sometimes.

I have 7 Orlik, 122 High Caliber and 83 Patrol Duty on my 38na. But 390 dmg/battle and 480 spotdmg/battle

38na is more scout compared to M5A1, Maybe 38na the scoutest scout. M5A1 faster, but has worse view range and camo. This means better close combat abilities, but less spot damage.

Reconnaissance is more difficult than the "simple" damage dealing, this is why you think 38na worse.

If someone likes scouts, Pz38na is a sweet little hipster tenk.

What's not to like it about?

Great speed, camo, view range... Add some apcr to the mix and you're ready to play.

Yes, it suffers the usuall scout problems but... if you think other classes don't have their own issues, one is very wrong.

38nAs are Luchs killers.

You have it backwards. The fewer hit points you have, the more you need auto fire extinguishers.

Here is what I see:   Tier IV Scouts.  Both have ok guns but 38nA has bettter View Range.  38nA has better camo.  End of discussion.

While the M5A1 has better agility, that makes a big difference, aka light tank of true nature.  I would say the na is only for bush-scouting,since of it's sLowness. Just 20 more meters of viewrange, nothing special. The normal AP pen is meh-ish.

I used to have the NA before, but that never really worked for me.

Considering my Full Camo and BiA soon of the Type 64 crew, now retrained to M5A1,i can fully enjoy the beauty of scouting, ownage of higher tiers.

I don't much care about you,but so far M5A1 is my favorite LT(Even Type 64 sucks in compare, but i use it for missions, and training.).

So far,400+ battles on the M5A1,be my clubber tank.
