This topic is related to Amazon buying Twitch:

Anyway: why is such interest in watching someone play a game while you could just double click the icon and play the game yourself? In addition, it is mind blowing that you would donate your hard earned money to someone who is playing a game.

Why waste your time when you can just buy a beer, get with your pals on TeamSpeak and have a good time?

Because its entertaining to watch. You can see very good players play which you could not do when you play with them and hear their opinions on stuff they do and some of them are just hilarious.

"Why should i play a tank game when i can just sign for my local army and drive a real tank, i mean pixels are boring" same argument.

But hey, i used to be player2 at my freinds house when we were playing the PS2 for years so i am used to watching others play and can enjoy that too.

If you rather play do it, noone forces you to watch twitch or youtube but do not question other peoples motives like that, you only look like a derp.
