Had a few mice and trackballs over the years not to long ago I was heavily into online role playing games so I bought a Razer Naga its got 12 programmable buttons as well as the normal 2 the mousewheel is a third button and 2 other keys alter the sensitivity of the mouse.

Its complete overkill for most games not to mention fairly pricey so I recently grabbed a very reasonably priced Tecknet X2670

5 side buttons is plenty for the game I have them set for consumables and so on and again I can alter the sensitivity.

Its also got a carrier with 6 small weights so you can alter the weight of the mouse to suit yourself.

Its early days only had it 3 months but like it so far.

Yep Razer meeces seem to be very popular, but I have tended to stick to Logitech ones. I have tried many, but for now settled on the MX Master, so don't have an extra wired to get in the way on my desktop......except when I plug in the USB cable to charge it up about every couple of weeks or so, and it is in constant use all day. It also have enough buttons to suit me.

All I need is a button to help me play tanks properly....:teethhappy:

Are any other oldies brand new to gaming as well? This is the first online game ive ever played, and I still struggle to use the keyboard quickly.

The only other tank game Ive ever played was the A1 abrams on the sega megadrive console many years ago, and there's a bit of  a difference to say the least! :teethhappy:

Yeah that's the tough one I tend to be too aggressive or i'm in a group of tanks and I think if I charge round the hill and distract the enemy my friends can take him out chaaaarge.

Thats when I find they are still sitting there just watching.

So that's where I am going wrong, as I tend to do the same thing......sometimes it works, and sometimes I get quickly exploded for my troubles. I spend more time in my garage picking the next tank, than on the battlefield it seems, but luckily not all the time. My unicum skills are sadly lacking methinks :hiding:

Its why I tend to do best in Light tanks my aggression can pay off and I have the speed to get into and out of trouble.

Before that I was mostly playing TDs

I do watch quite a few videos on youtube for help.

As for being overly aggressive it usually happens when I see my teams tanks all trying to fight around a corner and I am thinking why don't you flank these guys ok Ill do it.

I am 68 years, with the name of 'Trillock1945' I used to be called something else by people I know, as it started of with a 'P' so I changed that to a 'Tr'

I have only been playing for a couple of months now after discovering the game.

I am knocking on but won't say how many candles i am burning lol, also talking about mice, i used to have a Logitech G600 and it lasted less than a year, I now use Mad Catz mouse and Keyboard. They went out of business for a while and everyone dropped their prices. Now they are back prices will rise again, so grab them while they are cheap. They are really good quality and there a few that are cheap as chips.

Hi all,

I’ve just started playing WOT but are totally hooked. Been a gamer for ages but have not found a tactical war game t match my beloved board games until this.

Very inspiring to hear from all you ”old farts” as I am one myself (53 this year) would love to game with you some day.
