September is coming up. I hope that WG also will remember to honor the men who did the impossible in that month on the banks of the river Rhine. The men of the 1st Airborne who held out 9 days in Arnhem against overwhelming odds.

The infamous bridge too far.


Although black and white this video is a bit colored, I admit. But made less then 2 years after the event it shows the real stuff used. Real Panther and Tiger tanks (even a Tiger 2..as a wreck) and look good a Hetzer can be seen driving by.

We must never forget the valliant deeds done by those British, Polish and American paratroopers, the Canadian engineers and the Dutch civilians.

Theirs is the glory.
