Hi guys, what are yout thoughts about recently launched gameplay-footage of AW? Could it be a better game than WoT, or not?

It's sad to see they copied all the game breaking things like artillery and module damage system, things that everyone with half a braincell knows is stupid and shouldn't be in the game in the first place. I still hope they remove it but i'm probably wrong because they need artillery to cater to the noobs.

According to WG argumentation this will not have a big playerbase...

Objects on tanks according to equipment used. - Would put too much load on player PCs.

Bigger maps. - Would put too much load on player PCs.

Smokescreens. - Would put too much load on player PCs.

So only some people in EU/US with highend PCs will be able to play this game... LOL. *sarcasm*

Most people in EU/US have a good enough PC/laptop to handle "too much load" from this stuff (if it isn't awfully bad implemented).

If PCs can handle Battlefield 3 or 4 they can handle this stuff with ease. How many people are actually playing this game on a PC that can barelly handle it?

So WG wan't all those russian players to play the game on their 10year old bricks? Fine.

AW will give people from more wealthy countries what they can handle with thier "not 10year old" machines.

Time for WG to get the stick out of their asses and hire more people for actualy developing the game. Delivering features, physics and graphics that are common standard in the western hemisphere.

I'm sure it will have its fans. Too early to judge how good it will be.

Seems like a dumbed down version of WoT for me. It has arty so i hate it from the start.

This is being created/published by Obsidian a major gaming company.

They will be keeping light tanks, spg and mbts (no heavies).  Tanks will be from 1950 onwards to 2014 tanks.

Modules can be upgraded, no premium ammo it's an unlock for everyone to use

And I agree WG are solely aiming their current engine at low end pc's this is not aimed at that market.

So far there is no chatter about whether or not there will be micro-transactions but Obsidian have done this before (Obsidian are part of Blizzard if I remember correctly) and I'm sure they will do Premium accounts but nothing has been posted about this on their forums.

Personally I'm looking forward to playing.

How is this dumbed down from WoT?  Footage is pre-alpha btw.

Wrong, they are independent, working for who pays them

Some of their last game was Fallout: New Vegas and South Park: The Stick of Truth

thank for the correction - slap on wrist for not being polite about it

Now I remember what they did - Improve Fallout with Fallout: New Vegas; Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic - The Sith Lords, and Neverwinter Night 2 stuff

Can't really have a better advertisement than those games

Less complicated camo/vision mechanics IMO, more arcadey, fast gameplay. Even if pre-alpha, still it looks like the game all the EU tomatoes from WoT will cater to.

Disappointing, it's just like WoT only with modern tanks.

It's 90% the same concept, I can't help but to think they are trying to cash in on WoT. HUD looks very much the same, you have Jimbo crosshair there and a few features like reactive armour and AT missiles but the rest is just WoT...

I respect WT because they took a different approach and it has some really strong points (however it's much less competitive) but this disappoints me.

wow - you got all that from that video - you must be a genius to see all that from one pre-alpha vid

and tbh wg camo/vision mechanics are terrible anyway - only spotting a tank if you see one of 5 1inch squares on the tank is a joke.

Saw it on FTR, thought it looks like WoT with some mods and tier 11+

Spotting notification - good.

Did not listen to anything what they were saying because I would not understand it anyways (my english is not good enough for this) - just wondered, are the enemy tanks players or just drones? Seems they were standing around most of the time.
