Was disappointing overall play tbh.

I guess that 1 point for a draw was to save time.

But been able to win a best of 5 maps 3:2 after 3 maps when there are 2 maps left and a 4:3 is on the cards ruined the chance for people to see the aggressive game play that would of had to of been involved for teams to pull back results.

Format rewarded a team for grabbing a quick win then camping 2 games straight, or camping until they got a map they were comfortable on.

I give it a 3/10 for entertainment.

Best Match CPLAY vs. V.PRO

(EDIT: Also, the general production and camera work of the games was appalling, Watching 2 x 50100 going up the hill on the CPLAY vs. VPRO match when you could see on the mini-map and even the casters called that there was going to be a huge amount of action in the center due to a push, and that wasn't the only occurrence. In almost every match the wrong choice of camera position or angle made for really bad view points for the audience.)

Previously you had to actually win 3 in a BO5, which meant LOTS of rematches. I remember season 1 or 2 finals where Virtus and Dignitas drawed on Abbey again and again and again and again for eternity, until admins decided to play another map instead.

The rules are slowly getting better, but not fast enough.

We need to have Assault mode maps to force action by at least one team.

We could see in the final and bronze game how boring WoT can be to watch, when one team simply decides to draw it out.

Think Assault mode is the way to go, but not in the current format, you need to force the defensive teams not just to sit in a corner, force them to also try control the map.

"fearless battles" ?? Let's face it: there was NO fearless battle at all.

I'm a little disappointed of VirtusPro, i was their fan from beginning, but the game they made it to the final was far below their value. Too bad.

I really wish they would use some minimap mod. It is really hard to follow games when you can only see tank icons on minimap. It's like yes, they have heavy tanks moving there, wonder if they are IS3's or 50100's...camera following some T1 doing nothing at the same time doesn't help. Other than that, they generally need to provide more information to viewers. Hitlogs? Shots fired / hit by each player? Which tanks are spotted by each team? What way each tank is looking? It's a bit sad that I could get way more info with just running replays in my client than watching the show.

I didn't really watch these games that much, just last games of finals for a bit when there was not much happening. Did commentators do any better that before? Usually they just talk some nonsense all the time but don't really say anything meaningful at all. I think they should get some players to commentate, it doesn't matter if their English is not perfect or they can't express themselves that good if they actually have something to say. All in all, not very entertaining even for someone that is mildly interested in wot e-sports. I feel that e-sports format needs some changes to really get interesting. There were some rumors about new formats, anyone have any info about that?
