It could be better to scout with light version ONLY if it has riddiculously strong soft stats and really high camo (because we all know t54 med. has good camo to begin with)

Otherwise... well as I said in topic I made i think this is the only pointless scout of all new LT's.

I stopped caring about this tank the moment it was no longer the USSR Premium medium tank that the community had been awaiting.

Would have been a medium tank when it was still gonna be Premium.

It would have been a medium tank, not a light...

As for the prem that will come, Basically a T-44 with 120mm frontal armor... seems legit...

thats odd... why would it be a LT now and if a premium..medium? tanks cant suddenly change its class? i thought they was based of a rating of weight as to what they was.

The problem was they wanted soviet tier 8 LT and LTTB was only tier 7 material. So it was decided to repurpose T-54 light as tier8 LT and choose another T-54 variant [edited]premium soviet tier8 tank. It was all in FTR - just read the side - a lot of interesting and upcoming stuff discussed in there.

We already have several tanks in-game using wrong classifications. T18, T57, VK 3001H... and I'm probably missing a few. Light T-54 is AFAIK considered a medium tank officially.

PRetty much. The precious LTTB that was so gloriously announced as tier 8 LT turned out to be shitty after all and they couldn't upgrade the stats enough to make it viable for that tier.

This tank looks like a slightly faster T-34-1 to me. With really bad MM. I don't think it'll be the bee's knees, especially since even the premium amoo ony has 235 pen and it'll have to face tier X all day.

Had 1 match with it today. not a bad tank but the guns lacking a bit. 175pen was going threw E100 turret side turret and the soft stats are nice. but still wondering why they bothered with it seeing as tho T-54 outclasses it compleatly. the armor on the T-54LT was not bouncing any T10 guns when i played it (i know right?) so other than the slight armor increase compared to other lights, whats the point? the WZ-132 is probs still better than it. you trade minor pen  for some gundep. the armor wont do anything a WZ armor can do.

Well of course the T-54 is going to be better than it, it is a Medium tank versus a Light tank. It isn't being designed with being the best light tank out there at T8, it's to give the Russian line a viable T8 light tank.

The gun could have had something done to it to make it stand out... its not got anything to stand out from the other's, LT's armor does not count when it comes to comparing LT's. the turret armor looks nice and the shape looks bouncey. not sure how good it really is in practice ether. maybe thats the "russian LT" thing?

Its not really super fast compared to the other tier 8 lights. Its actually a better tank then the T-44.

It looks like a lower HP/armor/gun version of T54. i might get it once i have the other T49 line LT's.

I'll stop at the LTTB. T54 LT doesn't really look anything special.

Besides, I'll probably grind the M41 bulldog first.

I like the t54 lightweight, but I think that he is too slow for a light tank

After the buff to top speed in second (or was it third?) testing phase and watching the Jingles review today I'm thinking that maybe I'll get one of these after all. And then platoon with my friends who drive the normal T-54.

Because I am a horrible person and deserve to burn.

Not on long distances, or if you can go downhill to get a boost.
