I don't use much HEAT so I'm not 100% with the mechanics of it but the HEAT on the T71 has 210mm of pen and the APCR has 175, isn't there something to do with normalisation? and does this mean that the actual penetration advantage of the heat rounds isn't that much?

Cos they cost 5,600 a shell which means a clip is like over 33k credits, so I'm just wondering for those who use the T71 a lot have you found heat to be worth the cost?

HEAT is a horrible, the worst, of all ammo types in game. no normalization and if it hits spaced armor it does no damage to the tank but if it hits a mod it does full damage to that but not the tank itself. (hit tracks and it will do full damage to track only)

T71 175pen is enough for pretty much every tanks side armor in game, (maybe not maus im not sure) but there is no reason to use gold with T71 at all, ever.

If it wasn't an autoloader, you'd load a shell now and again, but heat on an autoloader is a pain as you're guaranteed that by the time you're reloaded all the targets facing you will be ones convered in spaced armor.
