So, as we all know the chaffee was "Rebalanced" but god must i say... Yes the tank is worse (ofc it is, it has better MM now) but tier for tier, its god damn amazin!
5th battle and already 1500base xp with a Ace Tanker :D
The pen and shell traverse are bad, but totally workable, overall i enjoy it more

Well if you compare it to the old one i would say ruined fits well, its just the fact that the MM is nearly normal that makes it so good and easy... I mean, shooting tier 6 and 7 while your in a 5 scout is just easymode

I like the new chaffee more to. The old chaffee is basically the T37 at tier 6. Only with a bigger hull and more mobility

I totally agree, i will definitely keep the Chafee, as there are not too many nice scouts at tier V. M37 is also nice, both with autoloader and the top gun, but there are enough other nice tier VI scouts, so will probably will sell it soon.

Yep this thing is fantastic. Got my mastery in it in my second battle (though I hear the stats may have been reset so that may have been easy). 4 kills, and highest damage on either team and this with only an 85% crew. Its a dream to drive, really punchy little gun and fantastic ROF. If you are in trouble you have the speed to run away. Its a beast!

Planned the same, plus a Locust to train parts of the crew. God forbid I'm getting in a situation like with my french lights, where I reached tier 7 and still don't even have Sixth Sense on the commander, even with gold retraining for him:arta:

I like it too, but the Chaffee model seems to have an issue. Whenever I drive across rough terrain or jump over bumps or so the wheels seem to go through the track cover:

It's only cosmetic, but still kinda annoying (I think the MT-25 model has/had a similar problem).

The chaffee is a piece of crapnow. The mobility is totally butchered. The hull and turret traverse make this tank utterly useless as scout.

I agree. This is an insult to the old tank. It used to be one of the "go-to" tanks when i had bad streaks. Now, they sucked the fun out of it. To me, it's like a fast brick with no steering wheel. In lower tiers if you get rushed, and you will, most of the time, because no one knows what they are doing, you're dead. Even a tier 4 can pose a problem, because of your lack of maneuverability. In higher tiers, you have problems penetrating tier 7 on the side and flanking is problematic because of the turret traverse speed. Maybe some can still make it work, but for me this is not Chaffee and I can't wait to finish my grind and sell it.

I say F*** spotting. Chaffe is BS now, not even a pale shadow of what it used to be. F*** WG "rebalance"! I don't mind having an useless gun, but why did they have to ruin dispersion for moving so badly? it used to hit everything in full speed, now it can't hit anything even when standing still...

T37 is what you're looking for mate, 1.115 dispersion on the move (Chaffee had 0.96) so close enough. With an epic 150mm pen gun yet doesn't even see tier 10s!

This coming from a person who has NOT played the pre-9.3 chaffee, I just got the tank today.

The tank is FUN! It's fast, the gun is good enough to get top 3 damage in many games and it can run around tier 6/7 heavies most of the time. Matchmaking seems to be mostly friendly, got some tier 8s every now and then but even there the gun can often penetrate the sides. Also, it's preeetty sexy :P

And compared to the horrible M5 Stuart (now that it has no howitzer, good luck with the pew pew 56 mm pen gun), the tank really feels like an actual fighting vehicle and not a team mascot.

The only bad thing so far in my 39 games is my abysmal win rate of 44%, tho that could just be the small sample.

well i got the tank after the 9.3 and will say omg, this tank is just a fun trolling tank, even with crappy crew (not fully 100% with 100% skills and no six sense) its easy to play, move smoothly, and to easy to run around like a headless chicken,

only thing is that im used to heavy armored turrets so i do fail alot and get destroyed by tanks that spot me.

Just got the Chaffee... and I gotta say I don't like it.

Yes, I am just a scout and I do my job, but no pens with the cannon against anything, except the most soft targets, annoys the hell out of me. Especially when I bounce of the rear of heavies, I just feel like I can't do much when my team sucks out (which they do every game these days).

So, to sum it up. Sure it works fine as is if you're not in a situation where you have to shoot anything with half decent armor. Nothing wrong with speed and spotting, but the rest sucks imo.

You aren't going to pen angled heavies but for most things it's good. It is just enough to deal with a KV-85 frontally which is always my biggest concern at that tier :)
